Definitely there is something new here. The EC has rejected previously to remove the names of the over four million voters who used NHIS cards to register to vote. Now they are being forced to delete the names of the said people which include close to half a million names of foreigners and you think there s nothing new?

This is good then since the NPP and its friends are happy with this ruling and NDC too are happy with the ruling.

Does the EC know there are foreigners on the register or not?
Did the EC have to wait for the Supreme Court to rule minors should not be on the register before taking steps to get rid the register of minors or because Asiedu Nketia said by 2016, they will all be 18 and therefore eligible to vote, the EC felt it was ok?
And how did Asiedu Nketia know all those minors will be 18 years by 2016 and should be maintained on the bloated register and the EC agreed to keep them on there, if the NDC party, John Mahama and Asiedu Nketia did not bloat the register with the active connivance with the EC, till this ruling came?
Does the Supreme Court need to tell the EC Asiedu Nketia has bloated the register with foreigners and per the laws of Ghana, they are not supposed to be on the register before the EC would clean the register and get Ghana a credible register to ensure credible elections in this country?
The EC we have said it and will say it again, must be serious in this country. The EC must begin to develop the ability and the capacity to be serious in this country. It must develop the needed seriousness that is required to execute it's mandate in this country.

I really don't understand npp and it's knee jerk followers anf sympathisers. EC was categorical in saying long before this old n dead verdict that it will take all necessary steps to clean the register. She even said those who did double registration will be expunged from the register which npp objected to. The only difference is that the NHIS which the court has ruled on was what the EC did not mentioned in their process of cleaning the register. Unfortunately npp, the lmvc and the likes are celebrating of been vindicated. I don't see where lies a victory for npp. Simply because you called for a new register and validation which unfortunately was not granted. EC called for cleaning the register and for me EC is vindicated 100%. The only missing point for EC was how it will carry out the cleaning otherwise this verdict was not for npp or its aparachites. Give us a break. Do you think the verdict will go your way? Noooo you must be dreaming indeed. All dead bodies cannot be easily identified since no database on death and birth registry. Secondly npp thinks NHIS is a goal post for them to win. Nooo it will rather sway the people to vote NDC on sympathy basis and for that matter those affected have been given a chance to prove their nationality and re register. So where is the victory for npp? You never argued on the use of NHIS as an identity. U never argued for romoval of ghost or dead persons from the register. So what are you celebrating? I am totally confused about the way you think about this verdict. Bad loosers
