Now if indeed we have speed limits in Ghana and the driver was clocked for speeding then he has to serve jail time. I marvel at the frequency with which I see Ghanaians crossing highways and even playing Russian roulette with speeding cars or heavy traffic. Jay walking is against the law in Ghana, but in Ghana we copy laws from foreign booklets knowing we are not designed to obey them.

I wish that more people endangering themselves and that of motorists will either get arrested or hit just to get our officials to enforce the laws. It is disgusting, especially with these street hawkers standing right smack on the dividing lines on our highways and byways.

I am again amazed that there was only ONE reported death of this very nature in all of Ghana. I don't believe it!
