Yeah, when we got millions from participation in World Cups, we failed to use the money for sports development at the youth level. Instead, ET Mensah said he was acquiring a piece of land at Ningo to build a Black Stars Hotel. I see kids in Ghana playing soccer at impossible places. Now we are chasing self-made players around the world? What contribution has Ghana made to the young kid's development? This is shameful.

The. Writer should please check the dictionary definition of the English word "force". And he should tell us in what ways Ghanaians are forcing the elder Ofosu Mensah to force his son to play for the country.
"Papa Fosu-Mensah, who is from Ghana, is also being forced by relatives and football fans in Ghana to use his influence over his son to get him to play for the West African country."
For all those with their anti-Ghanaian and anti-Bkack Star sentiments, let me tell you this, it's not like if one plays for Holland, they are playing for a team in heaven. Holland also have their problems just like Ghana have ours. There's a lot of discrimination and racism for a black person overthere. Do you guys know why Hollabd is loosing many young players to Morocco? You might play for maybe one or two seasons and be cut off forever. I'll advice him to contact Boateng, another Ghanaian who chose Holland over Ghana, and later said he regretted not playing for Ghana. Now, he says he's Ghana's greatest supporter. He should also talk to Balotelli, to tell him about the racism he encounters playing for Italy.
In the Black Stars he will at least feel at home. He will be among his own. If he wants a long and lasting international soccer career, my advice for him is to choose Ghana. As good as he is, he will always play in the Black Stars for many years to come. The choice however is for him to make. Regardless, Ghana will be fine with or without him. Baffoe played for Ghana and has remained a part of Ghana's soccer system up to now. But there will always be haters and people who will discourage you. Every society have people like that. Always bitter who see only the negative side of things. It is their right to say whatever they want, but the choice is yours, Ofosu Mensah. Choose well. Thank you

It's a tough choice. In Ghana the players and fans will make you feel at home but the vultures at the GFA will always get on your nerves. In Holland, it's quite the opposite. The management will treat you well but the players and fans can create hell for you. This is a tough dilemma for a youngster, or a conundrum, a word East Indians love to say. I agree with you though, he will be better off playing for Ghana since he is already a professional outside Holland, else the Dutch will make sure he goes through hell.

You guys should worry about yourselves and leave other people alone. Should this young man features for Ghana and excels, this same critics would be the people singing praises to him. Just look at Andre who use to be one of the most talented players, all of a sudden has become an average player to them today. Learn to embrace your own. Any way i do not blame you, but rather the political leaders. With the kind of natural resources that we have been blessed with and the resent discovery of crude oil, if managed properly, i don"t think we should be this poor. What natural resources do this western countries have? absolutely nothing. We have been divide by selfish political parties whose aim is to enrich themselves and not to help the poor in the society they claimed to have come for. It is not too late we can hold hands as one people fighting for a common destiny and bring our country back on track.

As an uncle, I pat my brother-in-law on the back for being emphatic with the destiny of Timothy. While I was in Amsterdam and when Alphonse and Timothy were exhibiting their great potential, Ghanaians living in the Netherlands and Ghanaian football officials saw Timothy as a potential footballer. But no effort was made to attract him. Ajax invested in him till Louis van Gaal moved him to Man U.
Mary and Wonana it'll be most prudent to allow him to decide for himself. Five years in Ghana, I'm struggling to witness our genuiness as a people. He could be woed to Ghana but all institutions are corrupted to the neck.
Timothy was born, educated and groomed in Amsterdam at the expense of the Dutch tax payer. He who pays the piper choses the tune. AUB make de jonge man in de Nederland blijven en spleen. Onze land is zeer korupt. Dankje wel!

Perhaps there have also been a lot of players who switched their nationality and those who have retired had the best of their time. Fosu Mensah should not waste his time in playing for Ghana. he will be successful in the Dutch national team. Why don't you mention names like Zineden Zidane, Claude Maklele, Patrice Evra, Nani, Marcel Desaily, Khedira, Ozil (from Turkey, Alfredo Dstefano, Diego Costa, Jerome Boateng, Ondonkor, Marcos Senna, Marko Marin etc just to mention a few. please don't come cos they will use juju (Spell) to take your position and they will do this by causing a great injury to end your career.

Please if you guys don't have nothing to write, just keep your pens down.
The only FM station that called us was Recogin in Amsterdam.
And I told them, the time I needed help for my son in Ghana U20, no one mind me, cause he was not playing top level, and not shining on TV, is Holland who gave him the chance to play for their Junior national team.
So I can't force him to drop down to play for Ghana. I have seen many who have played for Ghana, and at last ir was full of disgrace.
Even just last year , I Saw this Holland born RAYMOND GYASI, he left the call up from HOLLAND, to join GHANA U23 in TAMALE, and since then, no one have invited him again. As at now , he has no chance to be called to Holland National again. So all what I said was, I won't sit down for them to use my son, and that's the truth.
