Those who could read, understand and analyse will agree with me that ASIEDU Nketia deserves the "man of the week" award than any other person in Ghana. WHY MAN OF THE WEEK? The General made two speeches this week which are fantastic, "NPP PLOTTING TO RIG ELECTIONS and SACKING FULANIS WOULD MEAN SACKING BAWUMIA"S WIFE" I what country in this world can an opposition party rig elections?Any body who can read, understand, and analyse things well would conclude that Asiedu Nketia doesn't understand the politics he plays. Judging from these two speeches, one would wonder how this baby mind guy managed to become the chairman General of such a great and ruling party like the NDC. No wonder NDC is INCOMPETENT. That is one very important argument, the register must be clean but doing so shouldn't run us into constitutional crisis vis-a-vis the elections as the time is close. Let's tread cautiously.

There are laid down procedures for elections and the NPP have a polling agents to protect the box and votes .

NPP must understand that so long as we don't have proper identification system to justify who is a Ghanaian and administrative address system to prove where we live officially,there will always be a problem with the voters' register.There are some areas where birth and death are not recorded to any authority.How do we know the actual date of birth for eligible voters?I think with the Biometric Voting Device nobody can vote for a dead person because the fingerprints recorded in the machine will expose any imposter.In this case,we must find a way to stop minors and foreigners from registering and voting.How do we do that?This is the Administrative gap we can resolve with ID Cards and Birth Certificates.As for foreigners,they cannot register here unless by the help of some wicked politicians.I also disagree with the kind of validation that NPP is seeking for because when you have registered and cannot come for the validation today,it should not mean that you cannot vote in Nov.2016.It will be better to leave the door open for validation maybe till the end of October for all those who are not in the country today to come and validate their registration at the offices of the EC in their respective areas.Thank you.

If the NPP wants to disenfranchise a large swathe of the Ghanaian population in the coming elections, they should plainly and succinctly say so. There are only 208 days left till November 7th and they are now begging for money to campaign. Their campaign machinery is in disarray and non-functional.Hiding behind another layer of wanting registered voters to come show that they are really interested in voting by being validated is currently illegal under our electoral laws and will require new legislation. My sense is that the promulgation of such a new law will generate a lot of debate and will not pass, leaving the status quo to operate.I BELIEVE THE NPP IS FRUSTRATED BY ITS KNOWLEDGE IN ADVANCE THAT THEY HAVE LOST THE ELECTIONS due to apathy within their own ranks from infighting and despotism from Akufo-Addo. They just want to throw a spanner in the wheel of progress, period.
