One sunny day a rabbit came out of her hole in the ground to enjoy the fine weather. The day was so nice that she became careless and a fox snuck up behind her and caught her.

"I am going to eat you for lunch!", said the fox.

"Wait!", replied the rabbit, "You should at least wait a few days."

"Oh yeah? Why should I wait?"

"Well, I am just finishing my thesis on The Superiority of Rabbits over Foxes and Wolves."

"Are you crazy? I should eat you right now! Everybody knows that a fox will always win over a rabbit."

"Not really, not according to my research. If you like, you can come into my hole and read it for yourself. If you are not convinced, you can go ahead and have me for lunch."

"You really are crazy!" But since the fox was curious and had nothing to lose, it went with the rabbit. The fox never came out.

A few days later the rabbit was again taking a break from writing and sure enough, a wolf came out of the bushes and was ready to set upon her.

"Wait!" yelled the rabbit, "you can't eat me right now."

"And why might that be, my furry appetizer?"

"I am almost finished writing my thesis on The Superiority of Rabbits over Foxes and Wolves."

The wolf laughed so hard that it almost lost its grip on the rabbit.

"Maybe I shouldn't eat you. You really are sick...in the head. You might have something contagious."

"Come and read it for yourself. You can eat me afterward if you disagree with my conclusions."

So the wolf went down into the rabbit's hole...and never came out.

The rabbit finished her thesis and was out celebrating in the local lettuce patch. Another rabbit came along and asked, "What's up? You seem very happy."

"Yup, I just finished my thesis."

"Congratulations. What's it about?"

"The Superiority of Rabbits over Foxes and Wolves."

"Are you sure? That doesn't sound right."

"Oh yes. Come and read it for yourself."

So together they went down into the rabbit's hole. As they entered, the friend saw the typical graduate student abode, albeit a rather messy one after writing a thesis.

The computer with the controversial work was in one corner. To the right there was a pile of fox bones, to the left a pile of wolf bones. And in the middle was a large, well-fed lion.

The moral of the story:

The title of your thesis doesn't matter.
The subject doesn't matter.
The research doesn't matter.
All that matters is who your adviser is.

They are always assuming that every one speaking fluent Twi is an Akan and they keep making these mistakes over and over again and keep loosing elections. There are many non Akans and mixed Akans that speak Twi very very flue ...

There are many non Akans and mixed Akans that speak Twi very very fluently to the point you wouldn't be able to tell they aren't full blooded Akans until you really get to know their family history.

And sadly when you attack the minority before them they will keep quite but will punish you during elections. There are many Northners and Ewes that were born in and raised in Akan lands speaking Akan fluently but not Akans by birth so the NPP must be careful how they attack the minority.
I have personally met Ghanaian folks in the US thinking they are Akan because they normally speak Twi only to later on find out they aren't. That they were only born and raised there.

Dr. Baah, it's a big lie when you claim that Akans constitute 67.2% of Ghana's population! Where have you got this fantastic stat? Anyone who's interested in finding the truth in this connection may simply refer to Ghana's official population census statistics and discover that Akans actually comprise 44% of the population. Even if one adds Nzemas (who are not Akans, although for political reasons some Akans are anxious to add them to the Akan population!) to this figure, that brings the Akan population to about 47%. That means they are still under 50% and no where near the 67.2% that Dr. Baah claims.

Now, if, according to Dr. Baah, the Northerners' population is 12.6% and one adds the Ewe population of 13%, according to the latest Ghana population census figures, plus the Ga-Adangbe and the numerous small non-Akan ethnic groups, including the Guans, does it make sense to say that Akans alone constitute 67.2% of Ghana's population? Dr. Baah and anyone who agrees with him must give us the breakdown of how s/he arrived at this figure.

The truth is that the Dagombas alone, who are the second largest ethnic group in Ghana, followed by the Ewes, form 16% of Ghana's population. This means that both the Dagombas and the Ewes constitute 29% of the population. Add this to the numerous other northern ethnic groups and one finds out that the Northerners and the Ewes comprise well over and above 30% of the population. This being the case, how can Dr. Baah claim that Akans alone comprise 67.2% of the population?

The question is, how does a holder of a Ph.D. degree in political science, who has also been the head of a department, make this kind of gross mistake unless and until he allows ethnocentrism that undergirds his political thinking to becloud his vision? That seems to be Dr. Baah' problem here. If so, why wouldn't his Ph.D. be ridiculed?

Northerners and Ewes are Ghanaians and that is what matters not BAAH's level of primitive salon bar debate. This NPP monkey see, monkey do BAAH is painfully ignorant. Our society should not be based on ethnic or social origin but rather on merit. With such falsehood and blatant ignorance GOATIE BAAH is not merited to occupy any important position in Ghana.

We have dog chains Ph.D. en masse in Ghana but is it qualitative better? I would rather think that it is not the case so GOATIE BAAH I would leave you here with the following quotation from Abraham Lincoln --

I have an interesting incident just this week. Two Akans and not Ashantis retired from the company I work for in December last year and January this year. The two Akans are yet to receive their lump sum, meanwhile an Ashanti who I gave a letter of compulsory retirement just three weeks ago has received his form the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT). So when people who practice not even tribalism, but clanism call the kettle black it make some of us laugh.

Abstract This dissertation is a case study to determine the problems of human rights implementation among the Akans of Ghana. ;Using questionnaires constructed from the key tenets of the various human rights instruments, a field survey in five major Akan centers was carried out to determine the level of understanding and acceptance of these tenets.
Another group of respondents, 65 years or older were interviewed in an attempt to establish what the Akan socio-political orientation was before the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948. Personal interviews were conducted mainly with the older population in attempt to establish the Akan perception of human rights and human dignity. ;
The findings from the field research indicates either a fundamental lack of understanding of the key tenets of human rights or in many cases, a conflict of outlook of Akan cultural orientation and human rights principles. ;From the review of literature on human rights in Africa, including the African Charter of Human and Peoples' Rights, and the information gathered through the field research, it is concluded that Akans in particular and perhaps Africans in general either do not understand or accept the concept of human rights

The best way to go is a federal system. This will give each region the chance to manage its resources - The resource could be natural or human resources and that will bring about peace. All ghanaians are qualified to hold positions in tha country. The only problem is the distribution. Someone might say he does not care if all positions are filled with Mahama's family and friends but on one condition, iff they are qualified and competent.

On the other hand, we have to release that we are not honest people. If you do not have anyone in a higher position in the country, then forget it. Is there any fairness in the distribution of key position in Ghana? Don't say A or B did it so Mahama too is right to do. Did you complain when you thought injustice was done in the past? Please do soul searching on this topic: What is the regional distribution of GetFund scholarship? How what is the regional disbution of 'key position' holder? Are u happy with it? Good day to all.

Dr. Amoako Baah, ‘Ghana’s constitution stolen from Kenya’

Dr Richard Amoako BaahHead of the Department of History and Political Science of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology says Ghana’s Constitution was lifted from that of Kenya and has numerous irregularities.

Dr. Richard Amoako Baah explains that the constitution is predominantly copied from the Kenyan constitution word to word because the Kenyan one is older than that of Ghana.

Dr. Amoako Baah was speaking on Metro fm’s “Yenso Y3 Die Nie” political program.

The Political Science head accused the consultative assembly, framers of the constitution, of drafting it to protect architects of military governments headed by Jerry John Rawlings.

Dr. Richard Amoako Baah was commenting on current political developments in the country.

He is yet to come to terms with why the current Ghanaian constitution protects past military rulers from rendering accounts of their stewardship to Ghanaians which was characterized by violence.

He is, therefore, calling for a total overhaul of the 1992 Constitution to meet modern standards.

While we strongly believe that the Professor has the freedom and the right to say whatever he wants, we also know that as a public employee and the head of a major university department in Ghana, Prof Amoako Baah has moral, ethical, professional, and legal responsibility to be reflective, balanced, and responsible in his public utterances. KNUST is not an NPP or PP university. We believe that students working under Prof. Amoako Baah are not being fairly or properly served in the spheres of critical thinking, independence of thought, and balanced /reflective analyses. The students, faculty, and employees at KNUST deserve better. Kwame Nkrumah's Ghana deserves a lot better at KNUST!" ( (Prof Lungu, Cinqo de Mayo, 2015*).

We were not going to bother with a critique of Prof. Amoako Baah's recent utterances about the usefulness of the principles and ideologies underpinning Dr. Kwame Nkrumah's vision for the development of Ghana. Then we heard the Chief Psychiatrist of the Ghana Health Service (GHS), Dr Akwasi Osei, recommend during observance of the first anniversary of the Mental Health Board in Accra that all "Public office holders must undergo psychological screening." That was just two days ago, on 22 April .

IN FACT, IT IS A MIGHTY SHORT ROAD FROM THESE ONE-SIDED UTTERANCES TO BULLYING OF NOT ONLY THE STUDENTS, BUT IN ADDITION, OF PROF. AMOAKO BAAH'S FELLOW FACULTY MEMBERS, TEACHING ASSISTANTS, AND EMPLOYEES OF KNUST AT LARGE. IN FACT, THESE CARELESS PRONOUNCEMENT MAY NOT POSITIVELY MOTIVATE PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS, POTENTIAL FACULTY MEMBERS, OR DONORS. THEY DO NOT INSPIRE CONFIDENCE IN THE ENTIRE DEPARTMENT OF HISTORY AND POLITICAL STUDIES AT KNUST.

Regretfully, we must submit that all these Prof. Amoako Baah "teachings" are "useless". More important for this age, there is little that is corroborative, or affirming, or theoretically-grounded!

We suggest the professor pay some attention to real scholarship and how his entire department communicates with the public and the media, to practice beyond talking in the classroom. He could start by being more reflective and by re-vamping the department's online presence to make those webpages more effective, informative, and full of "useful" details about publications, research proposals, awards, and real and effective "collaborative" initiatives . We are saying Prof. Amoako Baah ought to re-assess his public profile as a respected member of the Ghanaian university community, the academy at large, and whatever professional organizations he may now be a member. Fact is, we'd really hate to think that Chief Psychiatrist Dr Akwasi Osei of the Ghana Health Service (GHS) has a point there - with a university professor in a public university!

Yes - the students, faculty, and employees at KNUST deserve better!

If someone genuinely doubts your doctorate degree and you send him to court, what relief do you want the court to give you? That would be an act of ignorant desperation which will end nowhere. If Dr Baah goes to court, the great General will only make a fool out of him.

Professor Baah should re-examine his own past pronouncements and he'll readily discover that General Mosquito's reference to his PhD pales in comparison to Professor Baah's wild claims that often border on academic lunacy.

Instead of ranting on the airwaves,why don't you give us a breakdown of the positions and those who occupy them as well as their ethnic backgrounds? While doing that, remember to do the same for Kufuor's eight years of NPP rule. You see some of you Akans are never happy when a person from a different ethnic group is ruling Ghana. The same was said about Rawlings even though he had mainly Akans from his old Achimota school in most positions. It is the history of your party rather. Apart from Mr. Antoh who was despatched to Togo as Ghana's ambassador, how many Ewes served in the Busia regime? And how many do you think Akufo Addo would include in the unlikely event that he became president?Before you deceive yourself and try to deceive others, just analyse the current structure of the NPP in its political hierarchy to the flagbearership ladder and maybe it will shut you up for good. Where was he when ex. Pres Kuffour said there was no qualified person from the upper west to work in his government? Whereas people like late Edward Kofi Salia performed creditably well and he was from the upper west.
