I was here in USA during Reagan second term in office. About 70% of the staff at the white house with political appointment came with him from California.

President George Walker Bush did the same with his staff coming from Texas.

President Clinton continued the trend to the maximum that he got a name for his appointments, (FOB) Friends of Bill.

Bush the second brought his staff from Austin, Texas and President Obama appointed his crew from Illinois.

stereotype and prehistoric misconception passed onto generations of neo-ethnic progeny who believe northerners are second class citizens meant to do jobs reserve for slaves.Some tribal bigots refuse to accept the fact that northerners have gone way beyond the days of our grand fathers and fathers either found on farm lands,mines,chop bars and homes of some Akans doing all the dirty manial jobs like sewage carrying,fufu pounding,watchmen,garden boys etc.It is a fact that some tribal bigots have an inherent hatred for northerners irrespective of their ability or performance.It is also a fact that northerners including highly educated ones have through some form of adulteration probably from historical antecedents have extreme inferiority complex that Akans capitalize on.Our public institutions give a very interesting spectacle to this.Often you see the northerners fighting among themselves,backbiting and sabotaging each other to please Akans who often despise us with venom.Some of us can testify for sure how northerners were brutally victimized in public institutions following a John Mahama victory in 2012 in some form of reprisal or retaliatory attacks as if to register their anger and protest against a northern president.But are we northerners learning despite all these marginalization and discrimination against us.Absolutely not.We are our own enemies often working assiduously to undermine each other.The hatred,discrimination ,sabotage and destruction among northerners as a people is far more intense.Sometimes it is very easy to reckon that we are so envious,greedy,self-centered and callous towards each other so much such that one's progress is deemed as a threat to the other.The champion in his village does not one anybody to be like him including blood brothers and sisters.He must be the only one seen dominating and dictating affairs with the rest subservient even if they have the capacity to perform better.When i hear comments like this i laugh on the quiet because northerners including civil servants suffered scathing victimization on grounds of tribalism and politics in public institutions.The Director General of Ghana Health Service Dr.Ebenezah Appiah Denkyira who chose to sack northerners and ewes on clear tribal grounds purported to be NDC sympathizers is not a northerner.People know Appiah Denkyira and other NPP affiliates are holding high positions in most public institutions,boards and organization under the Mahama Government.A good number of Akans other than Ewes are occupying key ministerial positions in this government.Some of us are reeling in agonizing pain and frustration under a northern president we purportedly campaigned for having being labelled as NDC sympathizers as northerners.It does not really make any difference even when the president appointees were 80-90% northerners because it was under his government we were illegally and cruelly dismissed from work and have not been working for the past 5 years as highly qualified professionals as medical practitioners.Worse of it all was because we were vocal against corruption needlessly killing innocent patients whiles a corrupt management of Effia Nkwanta hospital enriched itself.Key persons who connived to orchestrate our dismissal were northerners including the current majority leader Alban Bagbin then as Health Minister.The letter that said the motion for our callous,heartless and illegal expulsion from the GHS were signed by one Henry Attawurah,Urologist Specialist,Builsa tribe mate of Dr.Clement Apaak when the substantive Medical Superintendent Dr.Ntodi,an Akan refused to sign it.The current number one enemy frustrating my brother's case at the Human Rights Court is Dr.Ayine,Deputy AG who is a Frafra man from the home town of my brother,s best friend Francis Akunaba(late).Most of the callous and heartless voices going about soiling my brother's name in desperate false propaganda to justify the callous and barbaric act of my brother's illegal dismissal are northerners.A good number of them are hired hoodlums, illiterates including educated illieterates who don't even have an idea of what it takes to become a graduate or medical practitioner contracted to tarnish him to justify the corrupt and illegal act that the government is desperately trying hard to cover.My brother's story only justify the northerner's singular attitude towards destruction and retrogression.My brother was brutally victimized with a callous dismissal as northerner purported to have campaigned for the NDC and the John Mahama Government.He has been dismissed from work for the past 5 years with his life truncated because of his anti-corruption stance.Despite all the pain,humilation and suffering he is still a victim of veil callous vindictiveness,persecution and insinuations by a northern driven false propaganda,under a northern president being a northerner himself.He has been bastardized and criminalized under a northern regime mainly through blackmail in an attempt to cover the truth.I only hope the 60% northern appointees Dr.Baah is talking about will earnestly help the president to transform the north where majority are still leaving in abject poverty and deprivation.I hope he does not suffer a similar fate like the highly intelligent Dr.Hilla Limann who was back stabbed and sabotage by his own northern brothers.

By that assertion, he made people of southern origin to believe that people from either upper west , upper east or northern region are all the same. 2. Dr Amoako baa didn't say the 60 % are from one region of the north. What if per his assertion, the 60% is made of 30% each from the three regions, namely upper west, upper east and northern region? 3. Dr Apaak failed to realize that the dagomba, frafra and wala tribes he used as examples all belong to one ethnic group known as the mole-dagbani. He could have made some sense by using sissala, gonja and dagomba as example . Instead he chose to expose his ignorance and historical deficiency by using tribes which historically can be classified as one big ethnic group known as the mole-dagbani. 4. The most nauseating aspect is that, he even chose to rebuff Amoako's claim by just attackong his personality instead of doing so with figures and facts. So between the two , who is a disgrace to academia ?

They are Collins Dauda at local govt, Ben Kunbuor at defence, Inusah Fuseni at roads, Mahama Ayariga at environment, Mohammed Muniru at food and agric, Seidu Daanaa at chieftancy and Haruna Iddrisu at Employment. 7 out of 23 means 30% of his cabinet ministers are Northerners. According to the 2010 census, Ghana's population is 24,658,823 and the total population in the three northern regions is 4,228,116. That represents 17% of the population. compare 17% to 30% (almost twice). If Kuffuor did it, we did not like it and we voted him out only for Mahama to do the same????

You Northerners want to steal and steal and it is not ethno-supremacist principle that the Learned Lecturer hold. We want equity and fairness. Mahama must appoint on merit but also give weighted credence to each Region of Ghana, as each Region has a bunch of Learned people of various political persuasion
