The question is did J. J. Rawlings do the same thing to Voltarians when he was in power for twenty years? What about Atta Mills. The good old Prof was in power for three and a half years yet he was not selfish to only concentrate on his people in Ekumfi Etuam and the central Region but rather his whole thought was for the general good. No wonder under the care of Prez Mills, Ghana achieved a growth rate of 11%, single digit inflation and the smooth implementation of the Single Spine Pay Policy where newly recruited police personnel received the nominal equivalence of 500dollars as monthly salary. Compare these achievements to the nepotism and selfish policies of the Mahama government that has crippled the Ghanaian economy. I really weep for Ewes and Fantis whose votes brought Mahama to power and yet are the hardest hit by the current hardship prevailing in the country.

Are these MP not riding in expensive SUVs? Who is to blame if they refuse to cut their coats according to their sizes?
Have theybeen of any positive use to the nation, and the people who employed them?
Have they not prefered to sit in Chairs made in CHINA, depriving Ghanaian Carpenters of a little income, to buy a piece of bread for their children?
Kan Dapaah, PLEASE, with all due respect, YOU DID NOT FINISH THINKING, before this tatement came out of your mouth.

This Kan Dapaah guy is really "dopaafour"! and an idiot! Excuse my emotional response to the former MP.
His view gives reason for the citizens of the Country to do what was done in the Philippines to Marcus. We need to overthrow, suspend the Constitution and reframe it and make it better if those that have been authorized to amend will not, else some military guys will do it for the Country. Are we then going to blame anyone? The Constitution badly needs to be amended! See what absolute power the Constitution gives to the Judges and the Supreme Court, that is not accountable to anything or anybody? Are we surprised at what the Judges are doing right now?
Ken Dapaah is telling us the story and thinking of the MPs.

Kan Dapaah is just stupid. Has anyone been forced to become MPs. In the developed countries people become MPs after working hard to earn their own money, then decide to become MPs either because they want to serve the people or want to make a name for themselves. But in Ghana, people go into politics or become MPs, just to become rich in the shortest possible time. It is only in a primitive country like Ghana where MPs are given loans every four years to purchase cars. Go to Europe and you see a lot of MPs riding on bicycles to their parliaments because no one cares if an MP owes a house, a car or not. Most of them stay in normal apartment payed from their own pockets. Kan Dapaah, if the MPs believe they are poor because they are MPS, then they should just stop being MPs and look for employments which will make them rich.

Mr. Kan-Dapaa, your call for increase in MPS' salary and your reason for the call is lame, disgraceful and very disappointing of you because Ghanaians do not vote for people to go to Parliament with the expectation that they should become rich by being there. Being an MP is sacrificial not a profession as such they should not consider their position as a jump start to become rich. What about the low wages and salaries of Ghanaian workers? Do you ever think about their plight? I believe MPS are paid handsomely and if anything at all, the remuneration they are receiving as MPS at the tax payer expense is more than they are worth. Mr. Kan-Dapaa, I see you as an intelligent person and for you to come up with such outlandish reason to justify an increase in MPS salary is disgusting, pathetic and selfish.

Just close that issue, and let's see how we can stop the standard of living that's hitting the roof, which is thus putting too much pressure on the people of Ghana.
It's not pay increment that can solve the problem of high standard of living in Ghana, but meaningful management.
Ghana's standard of living as at now, is like living in any country in the Western World. Is this realistic?

Most of the people who vote you politicians into Parliament often do not have money for trotro or enough to feed their families. But you crooked politicians want the same people at the bottom of the economic ladder to watch you steal government bungalows while crying for tax payers to fatten your wallets. If these Parliamentarians are poor, then Kan-Dapaah should take the responsibility of funding them with his own money. Do not run for an office with all your strength and resources, only to cry later that you're poor. How many members of parliament ever said the pay was too little, and that they have no interest in running for the office? They've always known about the pay rate of parliamentarians, but always choose to run for the office, even using all dirty means necessary against their opponents to get elected.
