Presidential Staffer and Parliamentary Candidate for Ningo-Prampram, Samuel Nartey Dzata George has rubbished the 3/10 rating of President John Dramani Mahama in the fight against corruption.

New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential Candidate for the 2016 general election, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo scored President John Dramani Mahama a maximum of 3/10 in the fight against corruption.

“I’ll give him between two or three out of 10,” the three-time presidential candidate of the Danquah-Busia-Dombo tradition announced.

He reiterated the fight against corruption is a ‘sham’ under the watch of President Mahama, urging Ghanaians to vote the NPP into power to transform the country.

He insisted the NPP will be vigorous in the fight against the canker when he [Nana Addo] comes to power for the West African country to improve on its ranking on the Corruption Perception Index and the Afrobarometer.

But the NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Ningo-Prampram Constituency on Okay Fm’s Ade Akye Abia Morning Show debunked the assertion saying it can never be true because Ghanaians know that President Mahama from his heart is tackling corruption headlong.

“Mahama hates corruption; he is the first President in Ghana who is wholeheartedly facing corruption head-on. Ghanaians know that the president is assiduously fighting corruption. Corruption at the National Service Secretariat (NSS) didn’t start today; it has been there for a long time under the previous successive governments, they didn’t see. Mahama has saved the nation over Ghc 70 million Cedis at the NSS,” he argued.
