No private Militia must be allowed to exist in Ghana. Period! Any Militia linked to any Political Party must be disbanded, and the Parliament must get off its cozy arse to be counted in this issue as relevant by immediately enacting Laws to that effect, if our Laws do not definitively bar such formation of Militias.

The fact that it is legal to hire private Security does not make it necessarily legal to form any private Militia. Knowing how litigious the likes of Akomeah and Atta Akyea are in Ghana, I foresee some of them shooting darts to punch holes in this recognition with the number argument.

That is to say, some on the Akomeah bandwagon might question how many private Security Guards per an entity would amount to Militia. That could be specifically set in Parliament. But it would be more in the activities the Guards are called to engage in that would determine if they qualify to be regarded as ordinary Body Guards or Militia.

I do not see why anyone,other than the President, would need 15 people to guard him at any one time. The case of the President is a special one that manifests in all countries around the World. We don't see any such parallel with Opposition leaders.

So, Akufo-Addo and the NPP do not need to have any Militia to protect them. NPP is not under any attack. Akufo-Addo is not under any attack. The latest claim by his cohorts that the incumbent Administration was trying to eliminate him is as bogus as their similar reasons for secretly re-opening a dormant Account behind the back of the legitimate Chairman and General-Secretary of the Party.

So, let Akomeah keep blurting his sheepish ultimatum and grab for undue power to do as he wishes. And the rest of Ghana would implore the Security Agencies to teach him where the Laws get implemented.
