We have freedom of speech in Ghana and so he should not call for the clamp down of free speech. If he feels offended by the publication, there are options for him to seek redress. He/GMA could even report to the social networking site for redress. But I had thought doctors having seen deaths and caused people to die through negligence, and Napoleoan Bonaparte said doctors killed more than generals, and by going on strike because of money and created orphans and parent less couple would not be afraid of death.

It is the responsibility of the government to control some of these publications but the government will never do it. We are a bunch of people who never learn from others past mistakes. May Jehovah help us. We always sit and wait for a disaster to strike before we take notes and learn from it.

That SRO has, I presume, a "Lenny Bruce " type compromise as well as a community-based decency rules- regulations, which should be enforced without fear or favor.

That should take care of the sheer lunacy masquerading as freedom of speech by the likes of Ken Akyempong - an MP, of all people, off the air.
It was just painful to watch and listen to this guy - so gutterly. And that, coming from a guy who has some semblance of cosmopolitanism in his veins. The country deserves much better from this guy ; decency, is just one of them.
And the part which floored me the most - got me scratching my non-existent hair- was a radio call from some women in NJ calling to a radio station in Ghana on what this MP wears- " Amani " suits. Amani suits, really ?
Don't know how long they've been in the Garden State, but I was left wondering, are these women freaking serious?
Ghana got problems rooted in bad governance of which this MP has taken an uncompromising stand on, and of which I applaud. And, nearer home, we've got "The Donald" and "The cruzzies " to worry about. And, what are these women are talking about, " Amani suits? "

Folks, where is the beef?
Let's be real here, we got bigger fish to fry.

So, to reiterate my ten cent.
To prevent a " Rwanda " type mayhem in Pan African's pearl of a nation, just enforce the compliance regulations enshrined in that SRO and let us be of some substance, and all would be well.
