The questions are this: how much did you borrow so far and how much proportion of it came to the Volta region and for what? How much did you steal with your small boy ministers and girl friends? This is the trap northern politicians fall into- the trap of trying hard to satisfy other regions by ignoring the gap between the deprived north and the rest of the country. It is sad to watch Mahama end his presidency without making any structural dent on the insfrasture problem in the two Upper-Regions; yet he continues to build, or transform polytechniques into a university in each region but ignores the cries of Upper-Westerners, and Eastners to give them their own autonomous university campuses. If Rawlings acted like Liman, UDS would not have been there today. The biggest regret Mahama will have when he is defeated this November is refusing to give Wa, and Navrongo each a university because of fear of the Tamale political cabal. He is a good person but his indecisiveness as a leader is painful to watch. To watch him celebrate what he has done for Volta while the north is left is sad, very sad. The NPP needs to capitalize on this
