The Ghana Energy Commission came out with an assurance last year that the nation was to experience a new energy approach based on solar. Solar holds much promise, as has been demonstrated elsewhere, namely Germany, US, China and Denmark. Cronyism in the solar industry, e.g. the choice of independent power producers (IPPs) has led many to believe that centralized production is starting on a big flaw. On decentralized production. e.g. PV panels on rooftops of houses, the market must be free and fair, under proper regulation to ensure safety and product quality standards are met. If individuals can source and obtain affordable equipment, sometimes better than what well-connected suppliers can provide, the consumers must not be hindered from making those sound choices. No imposition of suppliers on consumers!

Well great ideas but hope the usual culture of talking big and acting small will not grip these laudable ideas. You need great passion and commitment to see these ideas become a reality

Rawlings did not do it, Kuffour did not do it, Ghanaians have been buying more electrical things and no one thought that we will need more power for all that.
Besides you are all stealing from the grid. Blame youselves.
