As a Ghanaian first and NDC supporter next I want fair and transparent elections in Ghana and that means all these institutions must do thatir jobs without being tainted by the EC. If Charlotte Osei can not deal with the pressure of taking decisions by the EC then she should resign and let someone else take it otherwise we are moving to a situation where a discredited EC supervises a discredited elections which leads to disgraceful behaviour by the NPP. We need someone to deal with all the issues raised by the NPP so they do not have any issue to take to court or turn this country into a wasteland from their die be die agenda

Can Martin Amidu say authoritatively that there is no one in Ghana who serves on more than one public or private board? The problem with Martin Amidu is the same as the problem with the late Anthony Scalia of the US Supreme Court who was full of himself and thought he has the corner market on all the knowledge reserved for mankind and thus the world had to take what they say to the bank.

Here is Martin Amidu who is supposed to know that use of lawyer-client information for self benefit or profit at the expense of the client is immoral at the very least but counter to his oath as a lawyer; he uses information from his time in the Ghana AG office to prostitute himself to an irrational fringed NPP party and other dimwits in search of a savior for Ghana. There has not been a single president or institution of government in Ghana where budgets have not been spent as deemed fit in the discharge of their responsibilities. Saint Martin Amidu would like to usurp the Ghana Supreme Court and become the arbiter of all Ghana laws and what they should mean; good luck Martin your 5 minutes of fame have surely worn off. Name that someone you think was pulled out from under a rock in Ghana who is not tribal and impartial to serve on the EC board or as its commissioner?

The EC also known as the Electoral Commission is and independent and neutral body tasked with organizing a peaceful polls. While the NDC is a party contesting the elections,hoping to retain power in the Presidential elections and parliamentary elections.

The NDC therefore can not speak for the EC or defend its actions, since the NDC does not understand the inner workings of the commission. However the recent unnecessary attacks on the EC by the New Patriotic Party has left the NDC to sometimes and not always speak as if they are defending the actions of the EC. The NPP should learn how to allow institutions to work. The NDC and the EC have differnt spoke persons

The mode for appointing the EC must be revised. First of all, it's foolhardy for the constitution to allow the President, who's a stakeholder in the general elections, to single-handedly appoint a EC of his choice. It's a recipe for disaster! Rather, the position needs to be advertised; applicants need to submit their plan of action to be studied by an appointment committee; interviews must be conducted openly; and the best candidate recommended to the President for appointment. In this scenario, the President's role will be ceremonial and the best qualified person will surely be appointed. As it's now, Charlotte Adu is bereft of ideas, and wants to hide behind a steering committee to hand over power to Mahama. This will result in civil unrests and possibly a war in Ghana. This lady must be very very careful! If the kitchen is too hot for her, she must get out before it's too late to safe her head!

How long should it take people to understand that the EC is an Independent and so is their sole rigt to take decisions which bothers on elections

No single individual can dictate for the EC as long as their actions fall within the law. However the recent attacks on them by the NPP is very very unfortunate and unwarranted.

We must all criticize the EC but the attempt by the opposition party to always attack the EC is not fair
