This is very much indicative of the reason why the NPP as a political would stop at nothing to get the EC frustrated, so that it would back track in its resolve to organise a credible free and fair election, but this tactics would not work this time round.

It is however laughable the argument that, Mahama is corrupt. If Mahama is corrupt, it is not the EC that is corrupt, so one think that the NPP instead would go after the Mahama and not the EC boss, but nothing of the sort has been done.

The reason is basically simply, the NPP as a party has seen that in their attempts to rig the forth coming elections the only obstacle in their way is the EC.

So they have rehearsaled a way thought through plan of stopping at nothing unless they succeed in painting the EC as bad in the eyes of the ordinary Ghanaian, so that when the believe is created that the EC is bad, then the whole nation shall rally behind the NPP to kick aside the current make-up of the EC and replace them with a crop of people who would do nothing but the bidding of the NPP.

But the plan from the unset was a failure and would actually not work.

I do not really understand the NPP in their claim of, the EC creating a committee that is made up of two NDC members so the group is not fit to stand.

if what is they are saying at all true, one would want to ask, if the group is made of eighteen people and two have been identified as members of the NDC, what of the remaining sixteen members that the NPP is not calling for their removal?

It means they are fully aware of where the remaining sixteen belongs to,and therefore would not fight for their removal. This is strange.

My candid advice on this is that, if the sixteen, which greater than this two people are neutral, then there is no way this group can be labelled as weak.

The NPP has to shut up for they have no case at all.'

This woman has already proven her incompetence to handle the position and sadly people cannot see it. am very much afraid that she might plunge the nation into chaos. Is very obvious that she is very biased. As a EC Chairperson, she failed woefully to conduct the adequate background checks about Arhin before allowing her on board. Is very unfortunate. Her position is so sensitive as she's in a higher position of trust. She has already caused a dent in her image and i don't think is reparable. She has to honourable step down from her position before the elections!!!

Charlotte Osei's respect, integrity, honesty and credibility is out of the window, and as if she cares.
But posterity, that thing that comes into play within the context of examination of the actions and inactions, the judgment, the decisions, the competence, the neutrality and fairness as mandated by the office, truthful independence, long after you are gone and the effects it has on your legacy is very, very important.
But most importantly, judging from many an African election and what has happened even in neighbouring countries such as Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, etc, these decisions, actions and inactions, etc and the results thereof are very immediate.
Posterity kicks in with urgency and the results most often are not pleasant for anybody.
That election committee has been found to be rigged and not credible, with absolutely no stakeholder consultation and engagement, and it is expected the right and proper thing the EC would want to do significantly, would be to dissolve that committee, appropriately engage stakeholders dispassionately, transparently go about that matter in a competent and intelligent manner, with the intent of satisfying not the EC, but the citizenry and the stakeholders in these electoral processes.
It cannot be the case, Ghanaians would be told organizations were consulted to send representatives in the formation of this election committee, but it is found to be false. That is pushing it and one too many strikes.
Charlotte Osei should admit mistakes have been made, and begin to take the necessary and urgent steps to fix them, in a spirit of conviviality that engenders buy-in by everybody who matters in the processes and procedures underpinning the exercising of one's fundamental and constitutional human right to self-determination in an atmosphere of trust undergirded by transparency and credibility.
That right of the Ghanaian is sacrosanct and non-negotiable, and must be respected fully, emphasis on the word fully, and not to be seen palpably, as being subverted by self-serving and self-seeking interests and elements. It does get messy this part of the world.
