Ghana is paying six times its total oil revenue as interest on the country’s total public debt stock; that’s the computation done by former Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

“We’ll reach GHC99billion by the end of this year 2015,” the Running Mate to the Flagbearer of the biggest opposition Party said in a post-budget presentation interview with Richard Sky of Citi FM.

“The interest on this debt alone is going to be six times Ghana’s oil revenue,” Dr Bawumia said.

“When we found oil, we were happy that we found oil, but the borrowing of this Government has compromised the whole oil discovery; you need six times our oil revenue just to pay interest on the debt, not even capital, so, it is a really sad development,” he complained.

The kinds of corrupt, thievery and murder that is going on attests to all facts. We can only redeem ourselves from the wicked and evil-doers by voting massively in the November 7 elections against John Mahama and his corrupt NDC govt. That's the only solution!

The KIA, since its operation in 1946 has gone through the hands of many institutions and the population of Ghana increases day by day which create some sort human congestion at the KIA Airport. The President is on correct course when he said he was to expand the airport by constructing another terminal. It will go a long way to reduce human congestion at the Airport.

The last time it was a rehabilitated Adomi bridge with all construction debris and filth around and Mahama did not care about the dirty surrounding but hoped in a car to go cut sod with village chiefs all looking haggard .

$250million can build a new airport. Why spending that kind of money on just one terminal. This is insane! Contract is so inflated. Terminal 3 at Oakland Airport in US cost less than 10 million! OMG.

Around the world, the airport are built not because people want to travel but it is built based on the capacity of the people it can carry. looking at Ghana's population, it is rising each day and night and we need a terminal that can carry a huge number of passengers without any suffocation. Oakland Airport can in US can cost less than 10 million but it been constructed based on the number of people it can carry.

Yes A nice terminal is good for a country like Ghana. But the real avaition job is is diffrent. What we need as a country to accomondate the increaseing passenger through put are air craft stands in other words called APRON. GACL has on over 3yrs been construction Apron which.lasted for only 3 months and began to sink in But the contracter has been paid in fill
