Confused Thompson has taken the Vice President's call to be synonymous with his lopsided, illogical and convoluted posturing. The Vice President's call was within the context of sub regional common currency. His is illogically and delusionally based on boosting exports. The two are not the same. The arguments are empirically invalid in our context. Every idiot with a small platform wants to spew garbage. What is Thompson's background, anyway? The dynamics of running a micro finance are completely different an economy.

Devaluation is not the answer. What is needed is stability of the cedis. Are we not injecting dollars into the economy to stabilize and to prevent devaluation of the cedi? Allow market forces to determine the level of the cedi. Even if one dollar goes up to 10 cedis, strive to stabilize it.

our leaders don't get it. if the cedi devalues it means we will have to work harder to pay off our external debt. an example is if Ghana owes 1 billion dollars in foreign debt at an exchange rate of 4ghc to a dollar it means we will have to generate an amt of 4billion ghc to pay off the loan however if we devalue the cedi to say 8ghc to a dollar it means we will have to generate 8 billion ghc to pay off the loan where is that 8 billion ghc going to come from ???? of course more taxes since we are an import base economy.
