It's the responsibility of government to make sure the money of citizens are protected.
DKM was a scam masquerading as a "bank" and should have had their license revoked by a competent government.

These too good to be true investments have been going on for long enough for people to be aware of and avoid however regulatory bodies have no excuse allowing them to operate. From what we hear, Mahama was continuously praised for bringing the organisation to town so if he didn't see it fit to disassociate himself from them then how can he then turn round now to say he has nothing to do with it.
The bank of Ghana as the regulatory body must take responsibility for the scam . The president too must take responsibility for encouraging people with his silence when he was being associated with the fraudulent company. Negligence is an act or ommission. His inaction have led to the situation we have today.
The saddest about this whole thing is, the idiots who invested their money are threatening not to vote rather than threatening to vote against the thieves who encouraged them.

Investment Scams- "Beware of Quick Moneymaking Schemes
This Consumer Alert pertains to the prohibition of certain misleading business practices of investment scams, i.e. money - making schemes and chain letters
What are Money Making - Schemes?
Money - making schemes, also called “get-rich-quick schemes", are schemes that accept money (deposit) from the public with the promise to pay back that amount plus profit. Participants are required to give money to promoters and at the same time enlist new participants in order to benefit. Often these schemes only last for a restricted period of time and cannot fulfil their promise indefinitely.
Many consumers are usually fascinated by any ideas of money - making schemes promising instant wealth. A further attraction of these schemes is the perception that the money will keep rolling in with little or no effort by the participants and promises that the hardest part will be to count one's money. By participating in these schemes, some consumers are handsomely rewarded. Unfortunately, experience has shown that approximately 80% of consumers lose their money.

I am saddened by hearing that people deposited their money with such a questionable enterprise. This thing happened in Ghana in the era of Rawlling but nothing was heard as a follow up. Can a bank ever operate in the country outside the knowledge of the gov't? Now people have sent their money to this one also. EEII, when will my people learn? How on earth can I trust a bank that promises to give such huge interest in this short span of time? My people must blame themselves.
