Bernard, for the first time you have disappointed with this position of yours. This position would have well situated if you put it squarely at the door steps of the NPP under president Kuffour. Partial deregulation started during their regime (good idea though. They deliberately killed TOR so that they could continue to milk the resources of Ghana and make their huge profits by procuring refined products hanging around our shores under certificates of urgency and national security. If TOR was functional this dubious deal would not have happened.
Please it is too early to blame the current management who have been able to revive the refinery less than one month now. Too early to assess and judge, they need our encouragement.

Some of us are close to the refinery and know what is going on. The operations of the refinery are being stifled so the likes of Tsatsu Tsikata and John Mahama's sister, both operating with proxies, can continue supplying refined oil to Ghana. In the mean time, Mahama's sister buys Ghana's allocation of ECOWAS crude (sold to member countries at a discounted price) and sells it on the world market. Better Ghana, or is it.
