The inefficiency of the EC is exhibited barely in every way, thought, body language and how she puts the message to the electorate. This manifests the situation prevailing in every sphere of the country, Ghana.

Any wonder the economy is in unimaginable distress, dire strait and decay, and why corruption is very prevalent and acutely high, while the ruling government takes a pretentious posture?

For the avoidance of any doubt on what I impute, the current Electoral Commissioner is very administratively incompetent for the position she occupies.

The thing is this free roaming cattle herding is a thing of the past, there has to be drastic changes to this cattle herding business.

On one hand whereas many of the cattle herders are Fulanis, the cattle they herd, to a large extent belong to some Ghanaians or will be slaughtered and sold for meat consumption in Ghana. Secondly, since we have signed on to this Ecowas protocol of free movement of people, goods, and services in the Ecowas region, we cannot stop the Fulanis and their cattle from coming to Ghana, likewise they cannot stop business and economic migrants from each other's countries from going anywhere within the subregion. A comprehensive approach ought to have been done by now, to educate especially the herders on not allowing their movable economic units (cows) to destroy somebody's immovable economic units (crops). The solution may lie in adopting stationary cattle ranches or kraals as compared to shifting grazing cattle herding.USA or Canada has millions of cows, more than all of West Africa combined, but I am yet to see one single cow roaming about and helping themselves on other peoples' farms. For starters those cows will be dead meat on sight for trespassing. Grass on somebody's land has economic value. You cannot just move in with your cows and help yourselves on it. We may have to designate some areas for grazing but in all that won't be enough......there is an economic opportunity for people to go into hay or grass farming which can be harvested, baled and sold to stationary cattle ranchers.

The Agogo farmers have a right to their food crops and I wouldn't go as far as suggesting to them of spraying insecticides on their crops, but then they may very well resort to that if their government is failing them.

When Busia came with the Aliens Compliance Order, immigrants who were in Ghana legally were not deported. Those in Ghana legally and obey the rules of the land were not affected. That is what Mahama should do and forget about that useless ECOWAS.

I can't understand why the nomads of Fulani extraction have been allowed to roam freely in the Ashanti region, feeding their cattle on farming lands and causing extreme havoc to land owners and local farmers alike. These nomads are foreigners in Ghana and although must be protected, they should not be allowed to feed their cattle on local farms. Their increasing confrontation with local farmers must be stopped by the local Ghana Police service. Any damages caused on a farmland must be paid for on the spot by a fine imposed on the culprits, in other words they've got no right to feed their cattle on a farmland already cultivated for future harvesting. Those responsible for the welfare of these nomads must keep them updated with strict instructions not to upset local land owners and keep off farmlands. This is to say these Fulanis must learn to behave themselves when trading across Ghana.
