The president has been saying that he tried to introduce electronic payment and acquisition systems into the public sector {to reduce human contact with cash} in his effort to fighting corruption, but lamented that the systems were often resisted.

This has become so monotonous that Ghanaians are beginning to wonder whether the president is actually serious and interested in fighting corruption as he claims, or it's just another crocodile's tears to deceive Ghanaians into believing that he is making an effort, while the government and its cronies amass billions of dollars at the expense of this struggling HIPC nation.
Why should Ghanaians hire a president that can't even introduce an electronic system successfully into the public sector to save us from criminals masquerading as civil servants? Mr. Mahama must be seen to be fighting corruption with all his might rather than go on lamenting helplessly like the rest of us who hired him to do the job.

Among Akans, when pouring Libation the person leading the act would simply include a request for God, (or gods) and our Ancestors to protect us from our enemies. The particular wording used could differ a little according to the eloquence of the leader-in -prayer. Often it could sound like a curse on the enemies of those central to the protection request.

Apart from that, if this particular Libation was poured specifically to invoke curses on the Political opponents of the NPP Flagbearer, then I see a problem with the Chief for doing so.

In the case of the latter scenario, I would only say the Chief does not have monopoly on praying to our Ancestors. And it is not like whoever prays first is the one whose prayer God (or gods) heeds to.

And who said Akyem gods were more powerful than Gonja gods, or Mamprusi gods or Ewe gods, in case we don't defer to the only one God, the Almighty in these instances? Funny, huh?

And when it comes to directing all prayers and Libation to God, the Almighty, He does not, I believe, answer our Prayers arbitrarily. And all of Akufo-Addo's enemies have just as equal access to God as he does.

Additonally, it could well be that Nana's enemies are also pouring Libation elsewhere to curse him, too.

Who then gets victimized by the curses? Ghana, Oh, Ghana!!
