Why would it interest this man to predict doom for Ghana?.This is just the reality on the ground. It is unfortunate that some people want to hear only good news when there is no good news.

What if the cedi does not end the year at the rate predicted? This is aimed at fueling speculation which will encourage people to buy the dollar now and hold further putting pressure on the cedi. This is an old trick by these so-called financial analysts aimed at sabotaging the economy. I hope the BOG will come out quickly to debunk this.

There is no sense in acting like the ostrich on the state of the Ghanaian economy.
The BoG cannot do anything to debunk what Mr. martey is saying. Unfortunately people like you can be fooled by the government...the Ghanaian economy sucks and there is no case can be made for a stronger currency.

A stronger currency does not necessarily mean a stronger economy... compare the japanese yen and chinese Yuan with the cedi and tell me our economy is better than japan and china... Think people.

Most of the building materials use in Ghana is imported. It will be much expensive to build a house in Ghana with devalue currency. Also this prediction is good for investors who have to face with the challenges of currency crisis, a real danger in wealth erosion. This has nothing to do with politics. It's for the good people if Ghana. You will appreciate this guy if you are into capital investment

At some point, the borrowing to stabilize the cedi is going to end. Ghana will be fully leveraged, John Mahama will be spending on stupid political projects to win power and stealing whatever he can. The accountant Tekper has no clue what financial planning is about. Bank of Ghana,s Wampah has no balls to even advise the arrogant and corrupt NDC government. From September to December 2016, the cedi will downward-spiral like a lead ball. I am not talking about a miracle; I don't even believe in it.
