That is why all the generals and upper echelon of the army and security were murdered. They then needed purge the civil service of any threat so under the guise of an IMF program fired most and the rest were driven out by being falsely accused of being agents of the CIA , where in the world did the CIA in peace time employ over 100,000 foreign civil servants as informants? America very gladly accepted these highly trained people and kept quiet. Now these ayigbe are clutching to the last straws of power but we shall boot them out this year. This issue of these gitmo ex cons is deal between Nana ,Mahama and Obama so crying over spilt milk is pointless. Since the bond of 1844 for only nation that has always been on our side through think and thin is the USA and as such are our brothers. We are to blame and we are lucky they sent us the 2 instead of some other insidious woe. Political parties should now weed out all corrupt elements and focus on those who are loyal to the needs and wants of our people. The reaction of the chief imam and his spokesman also confirms that Islam and Muslims have no loyalty to the interests of the majority or the people of Ghana so we need to do everything to separate ourselves or ban Islam. Why is it that common sense does not factor in the equation and they rejoice at the reception of these terrorists . Is it because they now have the direct links to start undermining even more the society? They add insult to injury and claim we are xenophobic but refuse to recognize the fact that we would react in the same way when the USA chooses to start exporting their other criminals like pedophiles , mafia cosa nostra or simple psychopath murderers. If we were calm in receiving their criminals then that would be cause for worry so they should all shut the fuck up.
The silence of Nana on the matter of these gitmo ex cons is a confirmation that both he and Mahama have capitulated in the face of a greater force and i suspect the super power USA. Like it or not America has waded into our conflict and you will now see a structural transition of power to the NPP . Notice all of a sudden the dumsor is no issue , corrupt ministers resigning over trivialities without a fight ,etc.The idea NDC has denied us our cutlass revolution and opted out 9 months before the election for a peaceful transition of power is FALSE, my advice to you folks is to remain steadfast in the battle to remove NDC from there. Americans are naive to think that NDC will go peacefully , we have checked and noticed that they have increased activities to cause chaos around the election which will lead to ethnic conflict and war , they have no intention of respecting any agreement which includes them relinquishing power. We would like to forget about politics and concentrate on rebuilding our country , heal the wounds and create unity but it seems the Americans did not learn anything from their experience with Qaddafi , he broke so many agreements that in the end its was only by war and force he was removed from there. ITS NOT OVER YET. Frenzied activities are ongoing to make sure the pepeni/ayigbe alliance of evil does not leave in peace so go back to your preparations of defending yourselves when war starts . Do not be massacred like chickens as our brothers in Libya were because they refused to read the signs of the times .We witness the activities of these extremist criminals in Burkina Faso and realize we must have these 2 executed before its too late. When America couldnt find friends or allies to willing take these gitmo ex cons they turned to their brothers who because of corruption have a compromised leadership so can be arm twisted to accept the unthinkable. No way in hell he would have done that -- it is that attitude which led to his early demise. He hated America's ideology and was already aligned with USSR/China. Politically, Nkrumah was very strategic and so this would not have helped his course in anyway. Either way the American government was working to overthrow him so would not be on their list of president anyway to solicit. Do you think Mugabe was approached, and if so do you think he would have taken the terrorist?

Sure, Kaiser was an American company but this was not a political decision even though he ended up writing a terrible contract with Kaiser, thanks to JJ for getting the contract re-written.

Nkrumah may accept the USA request dependimg on their relationship. One could remember that the time Nkrumah was on good terms with the USA he went to them and asked for help for the construction of the Akosombo dam and VALCO. The USA supported him based on the negotiations that took place between the two nations.

After the Zimbabwe independence there were good terms between Mugabe and the Americans, and if they had brought the issue of the GITMO GUYS that time he might have been more than happy to coperate with them by receiving the guys with joy.

All that K B is trying to say is about common sense in line with intelligence and wisdom in the political arena. Ghanaians are with little kids' minds hence making a lot of noise over the GITMO issue, and that had made rational citizens laugh at our politicians and the religious bodies.

They even forget that they do receive financial help from the Americans in divers ways, therefore they prove that they are friends of the USA, and if so why cry over the issue like the US is an enemy to Ghana in the arena of politics. Is it not Ghana that was the first stop of Obama which angered the Kenyans, Nigerians and others?

One may ask WHY? it is because they like and respect Ghana and believe Ghana could stand with them in time of trouble and in need, and that has come now, so why are the village oriented minds in our politics behaving like they do not have intelligence which could help them to refere to records.

Finally one may imagine risks, a situation that can be possible and could not be possible simply because Ghana has done nothing wrong against the Al quaida group, but instead Ghana had been rather good to the Al quaida GITMO released detainees who were suffering in the Guantanomo prisons, but had been welcome today to start their freedom.

Any logical wise and intelligent person could tell you the GIYMO guys see Ghana as their saviour and a gate way back to their nation to meet their loving ones. With this analysis where is the threat that may come from them.

Are we fools without common sense? It because under Mahama that they had come here, and thus people of the other side of the political line want to frustrate him out of hatred, and with the mind of political fallacies wish to turn every good thing upside down in the minds of the majority Ghanaians with low level to reason over realities in the nation's politics, so that they express panic and fear.

This is very evil when the NPP and the foolish ones following them know Ghana had been good to the GITMO guys, who had welcome the love Ghana shown. The gitmo guys will forever defend Ghana because they understand we love them. Period.

Do you have any idea about some African traditions and respects individual choices? The Christian Council and the Catholic Bishops are making it worse by rejecting them. This way, they are making all Ghanaian Christians as targets. The issue is whether or not having these two people on Ghana is a good thing. The people of Ghana are sheep. They see a Ghana policeman or army with an AK 47 Kalishnikov or other rifle, and the typical Ghanaian is totalled frightened into inaction. I drive through a typical Zongo in any of the big towns in Ghana, and invariably I see graffiti praising the Taliban or Boko Haram or al Qaeda. Ghanaians have already been informed that a graduate of KN University has been recruited into ISIL. There are others who will be easily recruited. I respect the views of this man, K. B. Asante but on this subject he us totally wrong and focused on the wrong question. If Nkrumah would have accepted these criminals, Nkrumah would have been wrong as he was in many other situations.
