  in the cities or towns.If we rear animals or
  poultry in our homes the results wil
  bad smells in our homes and communities.spread of disease from
  chickens and animals to humans.rifts and
  fights among neighbours to due noise
  bad odour pollutions and many more.Poutry and animal farming are
  done on big lands far away from. cities
  and towns to minimise the bad smell.disease and many more problems
  that come with it.The DR should redraw his statement.l guess he short of ideals and must resign for someone who has goöd and proper vision to change the
  greater Accra metröpölis.

  Household animal husbandry should be for household consumption only, not for selling to others.Are they going to pay for veterinary service also to insure proper care is being taken so that the public doesn't in up with diseases. Are we going back to the seventies and eighties where in every neighborhood you would find a stinking chicken farm next door, with the flyes and odors that comes with it. Let along fights among neighbors. If you want to promote urban farming, find open spaces where you can allow people to farm in community gardens. If you you can only come up with bad ideas, it's better to keep them to yourself and refocus the parks and gardens dept to come up with better ideas. two million people in Ghana, why didn't you select East Legon or Airport Residentual Area.

  I don't know how old you are but once upon the the time, Kutu Acheampong succeeded at one thing, Operation Feed Yourself. The model was so successful, Ghana was awashed with a lot of foodstuff. If we can rekindle that spirit, trust me, we can make a dent in our present food supply chain. We can cut out a big chunk of the foreign exchange that we presently use on food import.
  
  Seriously, I don't see my Fifii Kwetey hasn't come up with any plans along this line. You need a strategic plan.

  It is doable. If there was on ething that Acheampong succeeded at, it was Operation Feed Yourself. Can we bring back that spirit again? Just start with backyard gardening? It will yield tremendous results. Let try it.
