Indiscreet and insensitive statements like this by a person who has been appointed to head the EC by a govt whose stay in power was largely determined by either the dishonesty or incompetence of Afari-Gyan, now confirms to all of us that the woman is not impartial.

So far everything that has come out of her mouth over the past few days, shows that she has been put into that position to do a hatchet job for the NDC.

At the very least, even if she is not partisan, this woman is not mature enough to hold such a sensitive public position. She should know that the subject of Afari-Djan raise strong emotions in the public domain and for her to overlook those concerns and to go ahead and publicly praise him simply means that she is either looking for trouble or she is not sensible enough to know what she is doing or where she is at.

I do not hold any political sympathies for the NPP but looking at current developments, I have a deep worry about the future of the country.

Please let's analyse this dispassionately. The people have been allegedly viewed as dangerous to the U.S. The U.S will therefore be closely monitoring their activities here in Ghana.
Naturally, with their superior momitoring abilities the U.S will alert us to activities of any terrorist related persons, including our own sons and daughters who have joined ISIS and are still in our country

Is it not better to take advantage of the technology of the U.S to enhance our own surveillance system and training instead of dreaming of our ability to tackle any terrorist threats on our own?

Remember as of now we don't even know those foreigners in our country, including criminals, who have not registered voluntarily.
Do we want to wait until Bokom Haram starts bombing us to death before we call onnthe U.S and it's allies to help us like Nigeria is now doing?

Surely let's credit our government with taking decisions based on some intelligence issues
which we are not privy to..

After all, the official silence of the NPP should tell us something.

And stop telling me about superior monitoring of the US. If anything of that sort exists, they could have prevented the terrorist attacks at the WTC, Boston etc.

It is filled with shameless bigots who fled the other Media to feed the World with slavery-revival mentality and principally promote the views of the USA Conservative and Military Corporate Interests.

It has always undermined the Policies of the Obama Administration and opposed the closure of Gitmo. Left to Fox News and its paymasters the USA should continue her policy of Extraordinary Rendition by which people are kidnapped from their home-countries to be detained in the USA for suspicion of terroristic acts against her.

Some of the suspects like these 2 bright to Ghana could never be tried for lack of evidence and yet detained for years. That goes against USA's own democratic Constitutional requirements, the very system of Laws the USA wants all other Nations to copy.

What we have to know is that President Obama decides on such issues upon the advice of expert Security Agencies in the USA. He just does not make up the info used to make such decisions.

The Fox News folks would rather have the Policy of Obama's Administration to close Gitmo and almost all other Policies of Obama's fail. So, it would choose to lead in putting unnecessary fear in us to force our Government to not cooperate with Obama.

Meanwhile, why did Fox News not tell us what it claims the USA promised to offer Ghana in return of the favor of us accepting the detainees? It is not like Fox News cares about us in Ghana anyway. It is the same News outlet that facilitates our continued economic enslavement, and characterizes everything we do to improve our bargaining power in the Marketplace with the West, especially the USA, as Socialist Nationalism.

We have to be careful how we gullibly swallow anything from Fox News. Most of its reporters are downright racist, and the sprinkle of a few Uncle Toms among its reporters does not have to fool us about its Corporate and political interests.

Sir I know of Fox News as well as you do, every news agency has their own flaws and this issue of these two "ex convicts" coming into Ghana has been confirmed in the New York Times as well. People living in Ghana do not know about Fox News okay so when we are talking or discussing about National Security please let's be all patriotic and realistic because I have family members living in Ghana and I do not know about your family. It is very right for people living in Ghana to oppose the decision of the government bringing in these two people. Ghana belongs to us all (Ghanaians) and there's nothing wrong with people coming in to stay. The same way Americans will never support a "terrorist" coming into their country so goes for every other country. We don't have to be political about these type of issues when it comes to National Security. Ghanaians freedom and peace must never be compromised and no amount of promise or money can buy peace and safety of our one and only country Ghana. Whether Fox News is credible or not sir, we all have the rights to oppose this! This sounds like what African leaders did when the sold their fellow brothers into slavery to the white man who came to Africa and gave the African leaders guns and Schnapps. There is no way he will win the elections by fair means. After rigging the elections, the US government will support him, and tell Ghanaians to accept the results as it is. Do not forget, he has agreed to host the Gitmo guys for the next 2yrs, and he has to stay in office to do that. Mahama and Hannah Tetteh made no consultation with parliament because this is not about Ghana, it is about the NDC staying in power regardless of the election results in Nov 2016.
