It seems that the commenter is implying that there is more than one barge already in service - and goes on to say that despite this there has been no satisfactory resolution to the ongoing dumsor problem.

Has the first [and only] barge so far to have arrived from Turkey actually been fully commissioned and is now supplying 225MW to the national grid?

If so, this momentous occasion seems to have rather innocuously escaped any media attention.

Just what is the current situation regarding the Power Barge[s] initiative. Let’s have some simple factual reporting for once instead of the usual obfuscating trash.

Ghana Media, please just tell us some simple truths:

1. What is the operational status [as at 17 Dec 15] of the one power barge so far to have arrived in Ghana?

2. At what stage is the progress of the second power barge that is supposed to add another 225MW to the Ghana electrical supply system?

It is no wonder that there is so much rubbish spouted by so many when the media that is supposed to inform the general public can’t even present a factually correct synopsis to begin with.

What hope is there for the ‘chattering classes of Ghana’ to be able to proffer any erudite opinion when they are fed such low grade information in the first instance?
