When you have a President whose very person is the embodiment of corruption, this is what you get and it is very, very dangerous. Ghana really under John Dramani is scrapping the very bottom of the barrel.
In any serious society and jurisdiction, where they mean business, where there is seriousness, where governance is a major serious business, not given to crudity and crassness, you cannot be making such flippant statements and John Dramani Mahama would have resigned.
The people, the systems, the culture, the structures would have compelled John Dramani Mahama to resign.
There is no seriousness in this country. The governance mechanism has become so bastardized it reeks, it stinks to the very high heavens.
This is the lowest of the low, and one begins to wonder how low, Ghana under President John Dramani Mahama, can get.
This is indefensible and the attempt by the likes of Felix Ofosu Kwakye who speaks for John Dramani Mahama as a Dep. Communication Min and therefore, is deemed to be voicing the stated position of John Mahama, shows the depths of irresponsibility, Ghana has sunk under this Mahama NDC administration.
The Mahama NDC gov't has failed grotesquely, it is not even subject to debate.
This is the institutionalization of corruption, thievery, reckless financial malfeasance and plunder that has created the ruinous decline of the socio-economic growth and development objectives of this country in less than 8years and more than 7years of the Mills-Mahama-Amissah Arthur NDC administration.
This is damnable, unbelievably damnable and there needs to be seriousness in this country. Ghana must begin to get serious as a country if there is ever the chance, we can address the humongous and serious developmental challenges confronting all facets of life of this country and all Ghanaians. Enough is enough.
For President John Dramani Mahama through his mouthpieces, to advance such a position is injuriously abhorrent and a grievous disaster not only on the Presidency, but for the very image of our dear Ghana, and he must resign. John Dramani Mahama His Excellency must resign for causing irreparable damage to the office of the Presidency and the image of Ghana within the sub-region and the comity of nations at large.
John Mahama must resign.

Without reading the entire article, the title alone freaks me out upon hearing it from a learned person who boasts of his probably long chain of degrees. It is pitiful for Ghana to have men who don't put much common sense and thoughts into whatever they spew out there. These politicians seem to have no sense of obligation to the poor suffering masses in Ghana because they feel privileged and entitled to whatever position entrusted onto them by the government. When they speak it rings a bell that they are just there to protect their own selfish interest. I have just one question of the "respected" lawyer and the "honorable" representative of the poor people of Ghana. What is the essence of a witness in a contractual agreement, I may ask this lawyer? For him to assert that there is no law which prevents a crook to be a witness between a sovereign state and an international business entity, beats my understanding about who a learned lawyer is. Ghana is not safe in the hands of these people who pride themselves over the poor people of Ghana. Either they don't know or they just don't care a hoot about any people. So soon they will be going round spitting all kinds of empty promises for votes. So I believe this kind of politician would love to make deals with crooks because he would not be held responsible for his actions. Ghana help Ghana. A witness is the surety to the contract. He compliments and complete the contract. He is the one to be contacted in case there is any ambiguities with the contract. Of course a witness of necessity must be a person of repute and has real address; and not any crook who is on the wanted list. Now I would like to ask whether the government would like to deal with a person like this crooked witness in the next contract? If not, why not? Common sense will decide.

It is really sad that our parliamentarians including the NPP approved the AMERI deal together, but what the hell that the NPP are now turning their back to all what they approved. Where they sleeping in parliament, just like the president once said and they were upset.
Is it the whiteman from the Scandinavia who has to wake the NPP up, and then start behaving like a sleeping dog awakened and start disturbing the area with its barking noise all day long.
If the deal is okay and everything is working as expected, then the issue of the Farook and his problem with the Scandinavians should not be what can bring misunderstanding between the NPP and the NDC with the former, the NPP hoping to score political points out of the AMERI turbines issues.
The NPP is so hungry for power so they just want to explore any possibility to set a motion for political confrontation with the hope that this AMERI case will be added to the DUMSOR issue already in hand, so as to convince the voters that they will govern better. This is cheap mindset of litigation than politics.
