NDC party never accepted that there was any mistake in the voters' register and said it was the cleanest, more credible and ready for use in the 2016 elections. After the stakeholders' overwhelming agreement that there were flaws in the register, coupled with the proofs presented by NPP that the register was indeed bloated and tainted with all kinds of flaws, NDC realized it could no longer cling to those malicious denials anymore, and now call for cosmetic changes to be made to the register in a way that would still allow them to rig the elections without tears.

“Nobody is feeling your better Ghana”, Greenstreet shouted when he delivered his party’s solidarity message to the NDC at the congress at the Baba Yara Stadium in the Ashanti regional Captial, Kumasi – stronghold of the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).

In the full glare of the President, Vice President, former President Jerry Rawlings, and thousands of leaders and supporters of the NDC, a defiant Greenstreet said: “…Currently nobody, I mean nobody is feeling your better Ghana.”

“Continuous ‘dumsor dumsor,’ corruption from top to bottom, left right inside out, and all the challenges you are facing [are] suffocating the Ghanaian people.”

He added: “We would have thought that perhaps you may have used an occasion like this to discuss policies, programmes and solutions to all the difficulties we are facing as a nation, but no, you chose today to share your Christmas gifts with each other.”

“Ghanaians are not happy at all. This ‘bronya’ is dry. Too too dry,” he told the President, adding: “The most painful thing of all is that you don’t care.”

“NDC continue, we are watching you, Ghana is watching you, do what you want to do, we also know what we’ll come and do…make sure you’ll elect executives who will be able to steer your parties affairs when you are in opposition. Boys abr3.”

It would appear that those in control of the NDC, for the time being, were bent on excluding other bona fide members of the Party who may wish to lay democratic claims to who becomes the next flag bearer of the Party by excluding them even before the mortal remains of the demised President were interred. It is also symptomatic of how political party elites in Ghana and Africa worm their way into the confidences of persons perceived as likely to ascend to power positions for purposes of eventual personal economic gain at the expense of the generality of the mass of Party members and the Nation which every President swears to serve under the Constitution

So Charlotte Osei thinks she has John Mahama's protection when things get nasty huh? She shouldn't make any mistakes! What happened in Burkina Faso and La Cote d'Ivoire can also happen in Ghana. Election fraud is unacceptable, in any country on this planet. She'll be making a big mistake to assume that it's cool to help the NDC rig the 2016 election.

When the NPP, CPP, the NDP and other parties, as well as civil societies, churches and the clegy are asking for a new voters register, the EC, hiding behind the NDC are fooling Ghanaians by assembling a group of false witnesses to their recently held forum, to rubbish what majority of Ghanaians are calling for.

It's inevitable to compile a new voters register, considering what happened during NDC's primaries. There were so many problems; the system was fraught with lots of errors, like ommission of names from the register, although the NDC had earlier posited that it was unnecessary to have any a new register, but rather the old should be prunned. The kind of problems found with NDC's so-called biometric register was mind-boggling!

The new EC chairlady should be quick to admit that there's the need to have a totally compiled new register and stop being an NDC stooge or accomplice. She should show neutrality and maturity! It's vital for her to conduct a peaceful and fair elections for Ghana's democracy and development.
