NDC AND NPP ARE NOT CAPABLE OF IMPROVING OUR ECONOMY BECAUSE NONE OF THEM IS READY TO TAKE THE DRASTIC ACTION OF REDUCING OUR OVER-RELIANCE ON IMPORTS WHICH IS THE MAIN CAUSE OF OUR ECONOMIC PROBLEMS. PERHAPS THEY FEAR THAT IF THEY JAKE CORRECT ACTION THEY WOULD BE TOPPLED BY THE EXTERNAL POWER THAT WOULD BE DISADVANTAGED BY THEIR ACTION. DEVELOPING COUNTRIES, EG.SOUTH AFRICA HAVE TAKEN ACTIONS TO REDUCE THEI RELIANCE ON IMPORTS BUT IN GHANA OUR GOVTS. FEAR TO ACT. GHANAIANS WOULD CONTINUE IF THEY VOTE FOR NDC AND NPP IN ROTATION. WE HAVE TO CHANGE OUR VOTING ATTITUDE OF VOTING ALONG TRIBAL LINES, AND VOTE OBJECTIVELY.

ike the good man Otabil rightly put it, the power risis is a wisdom problem. Our government does not seem to have any alternatives to oil and gas when it comes to resolving the pover crises. Some that ago I said the governments way of looking at the problem is only based on conventional thinking - there is no innovation in that; why not privatise the part of the power sector to Ghanaians - who could then introduce innovative approaches to generating electricity, such as SOLAR, innovative governments are doing just that- Morocco, Rwanda to name just a few. If in the 50s and 60s the great Osagyefo went for renewable energy based on hydro power, how come we have not progress beyond that? we rather revolving around petroleum when alternatives abound and technology available to harness such alternatives. Yes, you may say the alternatives are all expensive and require massive investments up front. And I will say that is where innovative financing mechanisms such as public-private partnerships come in. Our leaders must start thinking or make way for those who can to govern.

Goodness!! What is this man saying? That we buy crude oil in $ and pay tariffs in cedis!you are just spewing out rubbish by this statement nad a demostration of lack of foresight.Who in this days technology would ever use crude oil to generate power.Yiou have succeeded in crippling the nation with FINISH PETROLEUM PRODUCTS IMPORTATION whiles you decided to shutdown the only REIFINERY that could have generated some GAS how little it might be.
You can never get it right because you have gotten all the fundamental variables WRONG!!!and that is why it is coming to hit us hard as a nation.
Why do we keep flaring precious gas and yet we run around looking for GAS.
Fundametally oil extraction or production should come with a ready gas processing infrastructure to process the gas which would inevitable come before you can have access to the oil beneath. Sorry for boring you guys with this technicalities but it is simply very annoying seeing individuals selfish interest ruining the nation. At worst your SELFISH INTEREST SHOULD GO PARALLEL with that of the nation.

Yes, the problem of power to provide electricity should not be a thing of negative politics, where a party that is not in power will create an obstacle so that the party in power will fail in finding solution to the problem at stake.
This is the politics that we are more acquainted with than the good hearted positive politics that the minster is trying to help us to have in mind.
Our united stand is what will help all of us to have the power we need today. Many people living in Europe will testify that there has not been a day without power.
Why, because the people there see politics as a thing to bring them together for development therefore the application of foolsh and negative politics is not their portion. Ghanaians, let's be united in our move to solve the power problem!!!

Nii Okai, you are one of the 55% Retarded people in Ghana, you are really brain dead. If you have realized that the Opposition is putting obstacles in the way of getting electricity power to the people, why don't you clear the so called "Obstacles"? And to Kwabena Donkor's call not to Politicize the Electricity Crises,I say Yes we must Criticize and Politicize the failure of this Gov't in handling the problem.Instead of this Gov't making wise decisions in managing the
Electricity Crises, they are too busy pocketing the little resources we have to do their forth coming campaigns and then turn around to Dare Ghanaians to say anything. And the Arthur Kennedys and Tamakloes don't see anything wrong
with that.Lord have mercy.

Kwabena Donkor may not know it yet, but everything in Ghana is politicised! Dumsor is what it is because of political interference and management by people who are out of their depth. Ever since independence, Ghana has been bedeviled by mismanagement which has been out of people who have degrees but who don't know how to manage. It is incomprehensible that Ghana is experiencing dims or this week because the Ghana Gas Company does not know how to seamlessly tie it's existing structures with a new facility. There is something very wrong with the thinking of these "managers" who do not know how to manage. This MSN who is telling us not to politicize the issues is himself up to his eyeballs in just practice

Will KABA of Asempa FM please call Kwabena Donkor and play to his hearing the statements of Haruna"adumdum adumdum b3 gya3"Iddrisu on the floor of Parliament when he said the NPP party was irresponsible because they promised to address the power crisis but failed to do so, even though the NPP initiated the Bui Dam project and had other projects in the pipeline to make Ghana energy self sufficient and the statements John Dramani Mahama made and also continues to make both domestically and internationally so Kwabena Donkor, can at least begin to make sense of what he himself has said. We insist KABA calls Kwabena Donkor and start playing the tapes for him to hear.
