The beneficiaries include pastors, traditional leaders, students and any member of the local community that is deem to carry some influence. This woman is just saying as it is, and nothing will happen to her, because in Ghana laws are enforced not by the police but by the government. And government only acts only if it serves their interest to do so.

It does not matter whether it was an election with only one candidate and she was not a candidate. The fact still remains that she used money to to influence the outcome of a public election. This is part of the lawlessness in Ghana.

“We’ll reach GHC99billion by the end of this year,” the Running Mate to the Flagbearer of the biggest opposition Party said in a post-budget presentation interview with Richard Sky of Citi FM.

“The interest on this debt alone is going to be six times Ghana’s oil revenue,” Dr Bawumia said.

“When we found oil, we were happy that we found oil, but the borrowing of this Government has compromised the whole oil discovery; you need six times our oil revenue just to pay interest on the debt, not even capital, so, it is a really sad development,” he complained.

We have long been on the neck of Akufo-Addo and others for using monetary incentives to buy votes during the NPP Primaries. The practice is criminal and this Lady has done the same and must be vehemently taken to task, even prosecuted.

Such is why corruption has grown roots deeper into our System and Government. Why a National Party would even recruit idiots like this to become Members of Parliament actually beats my imagination.

Like I have suggested along with others many times, Ghana really needs a third Party without the baggage that the NPP and NDC are now displaying. None of these Parties seems to care to change for the better.

The country deserves to have mature, sensible leaders to represent their folks in the Constituencies, and honest, truly patriotic, non-tribalistic candidates for the Presidency.

We are tired of having folks like this define our Nation in such terrible images to the outside World.
