Mahama's performance is abysmal by all standards. This is a man who has been in the system, as mp, deputy information minister, information minister, vice president, caretaker president to president; contracted huge loans with nothing to show for them, influenced the purchases of national assets at questionable prices, initiated failed stx loans and hoax chinese loans and causing wilfull financial loss to the state, and if this token of performance is what he has to boast of, then he has rocked the boat of Ghana.

why not time ago, but now? Because elections are coming up, right? Because IMF will not grant us any more loans and therefore, they need money in the system to run their campaigns, right? If not, what else? Is same old story, but Ghana struggles economically under NDC government all because you can give them trillions of dollars but it would not be used for anything good for the nation than their pockets. We have one more year for elections and so he thinks it is time to do something to convince "the fools", right? So think through very well because Mahama's cup is surely full.

Help me to understand. Are you saying the Ghana gov't should continue paying salaries to "ghost names"? There are some common sense policies that are good across the board whether you support npp or ndc, ok and if fools cannot understand, at least intelligent people should recognize them. This is one of those policies. I thought usually to implement such huge and sensitive issue as this, the audit department has to methodically go through the system, separate good names from bad ones. And then they have to set up the mechanism, computerize the system to detect any future occurrences so it's not a one day show, you know. Now whether it was an IMF initiative or not somebody has to have the courage and the will to implement it. This is unprecedented so learn to give credit where credit is due. It only makes you a better man. I just hope you are not one of those who got sucked into npp/ndc thing.

We need a similar electronic data base for National Identification, this will prevent future reoccurrence of this ghost names fraud. If every citizen and individual is identified by a unique social security number and finger print there will be little room for fraud in voters register, payroll, passport issuance, driver license, National Health Insurance, Bank fraud, business registration, insurance fraud, tax evasion and better development planning. This shows it can be done. Good job.
