You people talk as if all is well with Ghana and its people. You can introduce all activities celebrated in the USA but Ghana needs to provide basic needs to bring it into modern civilization. Stop the useless copycat shit!

Paapidi and your fellow naysayers, I have to disagree with you. Yes, the needed technological infrastructures aren't where they need to be but that shouldn't be the reason why they shouldn't have this big e-commerce day in Africa. The bottom line is that, they do not need to have it as established as the west has it. As long as they have a reliable marketplace, modes of payment, dependable sellers and willing and able buyers, they are good to go. They have to start from somewhere. Please bear in mind that a lil over a decade ago, cyber-based black fridays were unheard of in the West. Besides what do they have to lose? Africa needs to partake in more of these big retail events regardless of the viability of the market and business environment. I will advocate they skip the walking altogether and run like their lives depend on it.

Do you know what black Friday refers to? Why can't they choose a special sales day appropriate for Ghana?

Why are Ghanaians too hasty to copy stuff they aint got no clue about.
How many in Ghana can even afford 50" flat screen TV on 90% discount? And how many in Ghana have CC to shop on amazon? bestbuy, sears, walmart etc?

We talk too much. Black Friday is linked to thanksgiving holidays in US and has nothing to do with Ghana.
The media should focus developing the lil we have in Ghana and stop jumping the gun to the embrace cultures we do not understand.
Is it not foreigners who buy more even at our local trade fairs? That simple trade exhibitions, how many Ghanaians go there to buy?
Does US celebrate 6th much?
In dumsor, but day-dreaming about American events.
Tweaaa journalists.
