The National Debt as from 2008 has increase frm 9.8 to 98 billions gh cedis. Fellow ghanaians let ask ourselves, does the country have a Future under this kind of governance?. The answer is absolutely 'NO' The country is now surfering from Energy supply known as Dumsor, collapsed NHIS, Economic hardship as the cost of living standard of d people get higher & higher to no resound solution. Fellow Ghanaians we shouldnt sit and watch before weAll die out of hunger. Let come together and vote against Ndc and bring a leader who 'CAN DO the Job". To make ghana working. God bless Gh

The problem with Ghana is the youth.Those politics are doing shady deals to benefit their families.Asiedu Nketia is a multi millionaire .His company has the sole contract to supply cement to the Kpong Dam construction.Wayome's case is an example.I learnt that there were some NDC crafts who were encouraging people to claim judgement debts.Look the circle interchange.The company assign the contract is known for inflating prices and paying top officials under hands.
In the next 30 years 90% of the current politicians will be dead,their children will be living of on the loot of their parents whiles the ordinary youth who will be adult made to feel the full force of hardship.The youth needs to mount up consistent violent free demonstrations in the case of Wayomi to cough every penny and for those involve in the payment to go to prison.

What does he live on? 2014 was not a great year for takings for his church not as good as 2010 and 2011. Perhaps that is the reason why he spends more time in Ghana, they are more gullible. Someone from the internal revenue will start asking the
same question, he cannot be living on blessings with "Lady" Tetteh.

It would interest you to know he also preaches outside his own church on other international platforms hence he is likely to get honoraria from his other preaching engagements. I m not a member of his church, I hv however visited his church at elephant n Castle and Surrey quays in London. In 2010 he had the Surrey quays building which was taken over by estate developers, all churches there had to vacate. This could lead to other costs and subsequently destabilise the membership base. I don't know his private life , what I know is that he's a Dr economist he attended LSE (LONDON SCHOOL OF ECONOMICS)

"Dr" Tetteh does make money from his church. The accounts of churches are prepared from bank accounts and so only banked cheques plus a little cash they choose to bank are accounted for. Charities Commission do not have the resources to fully scrutinise church accounts. A few years ago Ashimowolo's church, is it Kingdom was taken over by the Charities Commission and PWC were put in charge to run it. That's when he started coming to Ghana and other African countries where there is no regulation and where we are more gullible. There were 35,000 black churches in the UK about 7 years vrs over 70,000 now. Ghanaians are cursed with crooked politicians and bogus priests. Sadly we love them, particularly the priests.

In developed countries, yes government gives funds for specific researches, not just dolling money off to universities. The government, sometimes the military, 'contract' universities to do some researches for them. In Ghana, it's like the government must at all cost give some money as research funds to lecturers and professors, without necessarily, specifying or directing the research. This becomes a bonus, dressed as research fees to the lecturers. What a waste of money!

They're misrepresenting this "research fees/fund" to the public. The explanation I got was that the Gov't gave directives to all universities and their lecturers to apply for research fund for a particular research they're undertaking and state what the research is about, what it'll accomplish, how long it will take and how much was needed for the research. This is a High school level stuff but since more than 95% ('guestimating') of university employees were enjoying the fund without any knowledge what a research is, it brought out all the freaks to clamor for 'Research Fund' reinstallment they were never supposed to enjoy to begin with. How hard is it to state what the gov't requires in order to get the fund for the research? Unless you don't have a research or never intended to use the money for any research, hmmm! This is a non-issue to me. Everyone wants some money on top of their pay they didn't work for except that the real WORLD does not work that way

Anyway, what are Rev. Tetteh's own suggestions to resolve the book and research allowances impasse? I have stated mine already and intend to sum up that in Part 3 of my series Intellectual Bankruptcy of Ghanaian academics. I have delayed and waiting for when the issue crop again. I heard the Finance Minister mentioning setting up a Research Fund in his Budget Statement to Parliament. I hope they are definitely abolishing those odious allowances which have starved the libraries of books in the tertiary insts.

So Odorgonno Sec. doesn't have a library after all these years. And they expect the students to learn to read properly and be well-informed?

One Peace Corps turned the library of the secondary schl I attened into one of the best well-stocked libraries in the country. Unfortunately, some old
started coming back to steal books from the library, or remove chapters, as the 6th forms they went to didn't have such books. All the same, what are all the old students of Odorgonno sec. schl doing about the library situation there?

What percentage of research is ever DEVELOPED? Note that in progressive countries it is never research per se but R&D; i.e. Research and Development. Research takes and wastes money while development is the money making end of the process. If you have no plan to do the development then Research is a waste, and the money should be better channeled elsewhere.

Attending Foreign conferences and giving presentations is a monumental waste for the MOST part 'cos I know.
BRRI, GAEC etc have been doing research for ages. They should be shutdown and the money channeled into Agriculture.

University Lecturers and polytechnic Lectures would not sit unconcerned for the Government to scrap the annual payment of Book and Research Allowance to them.What the Government should be worried about is the payment of EX GRATIA to Members of Parliament.Ghana does not belong to Politicians.A Member of Parliament is paid BILLIONS of cedis as EX GRATIA and the Government sees nothing wrong with it. Meanwhile the Book and Research Allowance is part of the conditions of service of the Lecturer.

DO WE EVEN HAVE DYNAMIC INDUSTRIES, MANUFACTURING FIRMS AND PROCESSING PLANTS WITH INDUSTRIAL OUTPUT,TO PROPEL ECONOMIC GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT IN GHANA.

WE CONINUE TO IMPORT-BUYING AND SELLING, AND YET, THESE NOISY PROFESSORS AND LECTURERS AT OUR HIGHER INSTITUTIONS DO NOT STILL FEEL ASHAMED FOR THEIR LACK OF ABILITIES IN SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY,INNOVATION AND CREAITIVITY TO TRANSFORM THE NATION TO PROSPERITY.

WHA A CONTINUED WASTE OF FUNDS FOR NON-PRODUCTIVE WORK AT OUR SO CALLED UNIVERSITIES IN GHANA.
