Btw, I can assure our NPP folks that there would be no reckless spending in the Mahama budget because if they do, they will come and face the consequences in 2017. A party can only go into reckless spending when they know they are not coming back as in 2008. The NPP knew with their corruption, looting and thiefry, they were definitely not coming back. Their Speaker stole even toilet paper holders from the government bungalow he was occupying.

These the people now pretending to be Saints.

"Mr, Freddie Blay, said the budget will be an “election-year budget” which will be replete with “reckless spending” and “corruption,” a situation which he said makes the NPP “nervous”.
If anything should make NPP nervous, then it should be the killings that they've embarked on in their party.
In any case, Feddy Blay, the opportunist, is only preparing the minds of his fellow party members, for the 2016 election's defeat.

To prejudge the 2016 Budget as likely to be full of corruption and bloated to placate certain targets for political advantage is itself an attempt by the Opposition to hold an advantage with the Electorate to dismiss any good ...

To prejudge the 2016 Budget as likely to be full of corruption and bloated to placate certain targets for political advantage is itself an attempt by the Opposition to hold an advantage with the Electorate to dismiss any good job by the Government that could be cited for the Government's positive productivity. Freddie Blay is engaging in a tactical preemptive strike at the incumbent to stop it from doing anything for the Country that would earn the Government any electoral credit.

That is very cynical. Nothing should stop the Government from doing what the People deserve to improve their lives. In fact, if it were the NPP in Power, it would do the same. Past records even show that all previous Governments including the NPP's did so.

Therefore, Freddie Blay must find something more cogent to convince the Electorate for NPP instead. The current dangerous chaos in the Party of which Mr. Blay has been deeply causative must first be addressed by him and his cohorts to unify the NPP and ensure cohesion of purpose and efforts leading to the Elections.

No one must be denied any benefit of Government service for the simple reason that the 2016 Budget has to meet the expectation of the Opposition to fulfill its charge against the Government that it has never done anything of great value to the People.

When the Budget goes to the Parliament for approval, the NPP could decide on whether or not to support it. It is that simple. But if the majority approves of it and it goes into action to do any great feats for the Citizenry, it would be the People who reserve the right to assess what their appreciation would be.

Long Live Ghana!!!
