Becoming a Member of Parliament, can never be the same as holding a membership in a golf club; wherein the right to membership is based solely on shared 'interests', but not the common good!
Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu and his sidekick, Nitiwul, are patent opportunists, who want to carry on 'business' as usual, in the House.
The irony I see here is that, these are two of the vocal cheerleaders of the 'dump Afoko' movement within the NPP.

There is no way NDC can win Suame seat and there is no way NPP can win Nadowli seat so any incumbent in these constituencies who wins the primary will definitely go back to parliament which makes the argument of these people foolish.
Can you give us one example where MPs are restricted to only 3 terms?

Jay, do not defend the indefensible. What the two leaders did is a stab in the back of the NPP parliamentary candidate. As for Nduom receiving support from the NPP in 2004, it was a collective decision by the party and not the President. Even Nduom has never been known to be friend of Kufuor. OPEN LETTER TO THE NPP,NADOWLI WEST CONSTITUENCY
For years past, many especially faithful of the New patriotic party (NPP) in and outside the Nadowli west constituency, sympathizers, concerned citizens, some of the members of NDC as well as well wishers of this noble constituency have pondered who would be chosen or presented by your party (NPP) with the political muscle to wrestle for the reigns of political leadership to represent the people in the house of law (Parliament) from the incumbent.
This has been the case because of the huge stature of the incumbent and the fact that he has been on the seat for twenty plus years and as such is a repository of political wisdom and very tactical when it comes to winning elections in the constituency.
It has also stemmed from the fact that your candidate for the last election (2012) have had some form of challenges for sometime before now which led to the delay in organizing primaries in the constituency.
It also comes from what some factions hold in view: that the wind of change is blowing and for these factions the NPP is a major force to propel this change if at all it is necessary and needed. For these groups of individuals, I personally think it was received with so much joy when at long last the news broke out that the NPP-Nadowli West had scheduled Saturday, November 7 to hold its primaries to elect a candidate to contest the upcoming elections, a step towards taking over power from the Majority leader in Parliament.
As usual of such political functions, Buses decorated with party colors conveyed your party Faithfull’s and sympathizers to the ground and in a matured and peaceful manner a candidate came out victor.
May I take this opportunity to congratulate you for the decency with which the elections were conducted? It demonstrated the growth of internal party democracy at the constituency though same can’t be said of you at the national level.
However, let me also take this opportunity again to whole heartedly sympathize with you for the following reasons;
For activist of democracy like me, we in the early hours of the day of your primaries saw the occasion as one of those blessed because we could imagine the joy and enthusiasm that will be reposed on the party especially the youthful ones going into the campaign as in having the Leadership of the NPP in the law making house and his able deputy to grace the occasion: i e Hon. Kyei Mensah Bonsu and Hon. Dominic Nitiwul respectively in the company of the Hon Ignatius Baafuo Awuah to grace the occasion since we were reliably told of their presence in town.
It however turned to be that these Honorable members were on a different mission. They brought the Hon. Bagbin to the people through a specially fashioned programmed dubbed “Taking Parliament to the people “supposed to be facilitated by the public affairs directorate of Parliament of Ghana. hahaaaa
These great men of the NPP were hosted about hundred meters from the grounds of your primaries and for all the time spend there, their individual speeches were eloquently aimed at telling constituents the thousand plus reasons why Hon. A S K Bagbin should not be changed or voted out of parliament, An action in defeat of your overall vision at the primaries from 100 meters. Hmmmmmmmm
I vividly recall one of them liking the Hon Bagbin to Christiano Ronaldo who he in his opinion can’t be sold to buy Agyemang Badu.( I guess he is aware that Ronaldo started from somewhere to where he is now and that stars came before him and others are yet to come after he is gone)
In my opinion, They could have likened Agyemang Badu to any of those contesting the incumbent at the NDC level but off course it makes the victor of your 7th November primaries an “Agyemang Badu”as well and if that is anything to go by then Mr Boye Bande is seen by his own leadership in parliament as not fit to replace the veteran Hon. S K Bagbin.
They equally eluded that every new comer in parliament will have to warm the back seat for many years before given a lead or frontal seat, a reason that men of their stature had to give for anyone who thought of a change to rethink: NPP Nadowli west will need to rethink too in that regard . I am not the one saying it but the leadership of your party in parliament.
One could see grieve written on the faces of the NPP members who had cast their votes and came around to listen to what was going on, as they saw the biggest betrayal in its capital form.
It is for this that you must find heart to accept my sympathy.
NPP Nadowli West, Mr Boye Bande, you were shot and killed by your own.
My condolence.
