The poor will want the wealth of the wealthy and democracy will give it to them.The youth will want be respected like the old achievers with experience, women will want to be like men,foreigners will want the rights of the natives and democracy will make this possible. Thieves and con men will want positions of importance and democracy will also give that to them .When thieves and con artists finally democratically gain power as criminals and evil men have a urge always to gain power we will have a tyranny worse than any monarchy or oligarchy unquote. This all evident in the pndc /ndc govt today including the perverse leanings towards inter-gender role exchanges and promotion of homosexuality.Thus Winston Churchill said that democracy is the "worst form of government," just better than all the others. the problem Plato has with democracy in the Republic is not the absence of the rule of law but just the fact that the wrong people are in power-people without the proper virtues or integrity.Development pepeni omanhene says is unequaled on his watch, and i ask what is the meaning? Is it the total uselessness , or insignificance , level of plaigatory theft of projects, corruption kick backs or the benefits his kleptomaniac brothers and cronies have acquired , the level of prejudice of against anything that can benefit Akan areas or people . Pepeni has borrowed and created more debt than all the previous presidents before him combined including Nkrumah yet we dont see any results such as the attempts of raising any basic or primary industry to add some value to our natural resources before export that creates jobs for millions as Nkrumah and all presidents except for pepeni and JJ tried to. What is unequaled is the billions that have been siphoned out of the country mainly to Islamic destinations like Iran , Dubai and Turkey. He boasts about the nonexistent 200 schools yet forgets over a century ago Akans mainly Fantes built schools that today would each cost no less than 20 million each. He offers markets and toilets as if the local community could not do so themselves if the taxes and various levies collected in those areas remained there. But no pepeni/ayigbe must chop bribe together with their Gas Adas and other satellite allies against the Akans. A govt whose members are selected not based on competence but their level of hate or prejudice against the Akan majority or the family blood ties to pepeni mahama can never serve anybody except their selfish selves and will always fail. The success or failure of any business , govt or social enterprise is determined by the personnel or cadre who execute the defined goals. In our case we need a govt selected based on merit and experience to get us out of this vicious circle of poverty and bad luck , so i would expect to see at least 3 investment bankers , 4 engineers , 2 macro economists and one doctor of project management and that govt with people of integrity will surely have results in less than a year. Competent Ghanaian all decline to associate themselves with NDC and their corruption driven govt.Pepeni went to mislead the chiefs to use festivals to promote market and project development but omitted to tell them no project has made it through the finance ministry without paying an arm and a leg in bribes , talk less of the cabinet or parliamentary committees. Mafias dont need economists or bankers but rather opt for book keepers or accountants like we see in our minister of finance being shadowed spied and watched by pepeni's cousin chief director Alajih Major Tara. Look at former minister of state for development now minister of science technology with his dentist of army qualification Alajih Dr Mustafa Ahmed and tell me he is capable of contributing something good except positioning himself to collect bribes. None of this will ever end up in Ghanian media or newspapers as NDC ( mainly Ga /Ada) activists now holding national security id s go around intimidating the journalists ,editors and owners of these establishments. We know the motive for these useless utterances by pepeni as his strategy ids to hoodwink the people into believing so much has been done for development , with roads , schools etc but notice there is no railway , no health services with modern ambulances including helicopters , fire services lack fighting water tank planes or helicopters talk less of specialized fire fighting equipment as not all will pay bribes , no initiation of any strategically important industry . Just get ready for the whirlwind of propaganda and lies saying the empty projects with no direction is what we couldn't do ourselves so they did. No self respecting intellectual worth his wait will throw pearls of wisdom before this pepeni/ayigbe swine . These idiotic ndc will always blame the Akans privately or npp publicly for making them fail or the country ungovernable but in reality they just don't know how , jj failed and so will they in their tribalistic hegemony. Yes rig the elections a thousand times and each time you will fail abysmally .Let them continue to adorn themselves with vainglorious titles of esteem or positions of influence and power but as the coat doesn't make the man so all this will eventually end up in their own failure and misery BULLSHIT GALORE

There are some really stupid people among us and it even shows in the way some people have written their comments; grammatically awful, intellectually bankrupt.

Martin, the language in this statement is disappointing. If you believe that Tiger Eye PI is being used by the state or the Executive to identify and deal with corruption, is that a bad idea? What exactly is your beef with Tiger Eye? Is your problem with Tiger Eye or with government/Executive for covering up corruption within the Legislature?

Amidu is claiming the investigation undertaken by Anas in more extensive than Tiger Eye has revealed. According to him it was originally Mills' investigative program, and it was expected to thoroughly investigate Parliament and the Government itself, so when Mahama re-engage Anas on the program, he should have come out releasing all the videos including those on Parliament and the Presidency etc., but it seems Anas is bowing to presidential favors to release only the one concerning Judiciary. To Amidu, that's protecting those corrupt Parliametarians and the president's own men.

He doesn't so far talked against the investigation per se. I think it is evident in his scripts he actually like the investigations done but wants who ever is found guilty to be exposed and jailed. He want Anas to go ahead and address the president to cause those involved to be jailed because, as he noted, some of those shown to be receiving bribes are still at post.

Amidu should not derail the train of anti-corruption crusade undertaken by the Tiger PI. He did his share of the fighting with Woyomegate. And Ghanaians appreciated it. The rot is too much for only one person to handle. So, he has to stop interfering in the work of Anas and let the Tiger PI to uncover some of the depths of corruption in Ghana, too.

It took Amidu a long time to stand up to the corruption that had long hijacked governance in Ghana. Many other instances of official corruption could have occurred during Amidu's presence in the Government that he probably overlooked or did not think he was up to tackling. So, whether or not the Tiger PI was ordered by the Executive or not, it does not matter, so long as Anas was successful in most part to unearth the rot in the Judiciary.

More, what really is Amidu's motivation in antagonizing the Tiger PI and disrupting its work? Does Amidu have some sympathies for some of the culprit Judges and seek to undermine Anas for vengeance? Or, Amidu simply avers sharing his heroic status as a lone ranger corruption fighter? It must be noted Anas had long been plying his trade before Amidu emerged as the lone anti-corruption vigilante within the Government. Anas had long begun fighting Corruption from outside, while Amidu was the first to break out of the Government to expose corruption within via the Woyomegate. I do not see the benefit to the Nation for Amidu to be fighting Anas over whether or not the former's work was ordered by the Government. If anything at all, we should be hopeful that the Tiger PI would not just end there but continue to expose other rotten apples in the Government including even the Executive Branch.

Amidu would be doing the Nation a greater favor by helping Anas to expose the rotten Officials rather than working against him. Ghana needs more collaborative work among anti-corruption entities, and no mutually destructive competition among them.

If Amidu believes that some other parts of the Government like the Parliament or even the Executive is also as sinful and culpable with corruption as the Judiciary has been found to be, and Anas is hesitant to expose that section, why doesn't Amidu himself undertake the responsibility to expose that section of Government?

All Ghanaians want is the full exposure of the rot and exhaustively effectively dealing with it. It does not matter to us who ordered the exposure. If any particular individual feels discriminated against for undeserving accusation, let that person go to court to preserve his or her innocence, even as the Prosecution would bear the burden of proof of the person's guilt.

Amidu must be very careful not to fulfill the expectations of those who cynically claimed his break-out to expose Woyomegate was more for his own selfish personal fame.

Question is, what exactly is Amidus's aim. Is the man now so bereft of thinking that the only thing he can now think of is to be doing what he is doing?

Indeed, if I tell people that we in this part of the world, especially Ghana, are still about 10,000 years behind modernity, they argue that the duration is too much.

But I still keep up to my claim. Mr Matin Amidu is not only a lawyer, but had worked in the highest apex of public office. The man is aware of the harm a lawless society can cause its people. He is equally aware of what inequality in society, borne out of a corrupt legal decision by a nation's judicial system can render its people. Or is he the type who want Ghana turned to a jungle state where the highest judicial bidder should be winning cases?

It is a pity that in Ghana, we still have people like Martin Amidu, a layer, who are so kin in destructive pull PULL HIM DOWN SYNDROME - a very negative tradition, which has remain the bane of Africa's development.
