The courts of Ghana ruled that conduct was thievery for material gain and the monies retrieved and the culprits prosecuted.
Under the leadership of John Mahama of the NDC gov't, it has not happened.
Besides is it the job of chiefs to be growing trees when there is a Forestry Commission with an re-afforestation department in Ghana, under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research which should necessarily be spearheading such an exercise? Does John Dramani Mahama know whether they have a car to do their job?
Once again, the lack of leadership and the competencies required to govern Ghana, has been shown to be sadly absent and John Mahama cannot lead this country.

With this promise, the tree planting has failed already. I know the youth involved in this exercise will paid for their hard work and that must be Ok to motivate them to perform. You do not have to promise our noble chiefs cars before they do their jobs as chiefs. People in this country do not have to bribed before they do what is expected of them. This intervention of giving cars to chiefs has come at a wrong time. Even a child yet to be born knows this is bribe for votes. Mahama must grow a bit. Mahama wants to bribe all influential people in this country WHY????. If indeed Mahama has personal money, he must use it to improve infrastructure in education, health and agriculture. This car bribe to chiefs is so childish. Just motivate the young men enough and they will do a good job. No body stops you as a president to use your private money to buy cars for whoever you love but I beg you, John, it is too childish to such a thing under the cover of this program. Next time if you don't give cars or something higher no chief will do anything. Don't do this Mr. President....some chiefs may think you don't even love them because you did not give them cars. Please come up with something that benefits majority of the people. Let chiefs buy their own cars. You are about to create serious problems.....hmmmm.

I THINK ITS TIME DE GOVT CREATE A DIVISION OF FARMERS IN DE FORCES. BE IT POLICE, SOLDIERS, CUSTOMS, IMMIGRATION AMONG OTHERS. ..& SHOULD BE TASK TO PLANT ALMOST ALL KIND OF FOOD STUFFS ALONGSIDE THE TREES..
