Yes they pride themselves in being able to infiltrate every Akan society but we laugh at their sorry ass attempts to come close to the true Akan freedom fight movement. The clarion call will sound soon and we shall surely defeat them. They adorn themselves with glorious titles but in reality nobody respects or wants them except their pitiful idiot fools. They fake republic is falling apart from within and all their loans , sale of Akan wealth will be declared non and void . Go to Takoradi and notice how the oil companies are already sizing down operations as only a fool does not see this is a war we Akans can not afford to loose. They already have made us second class citizens in all matters of state and governance so why keep up the charade ?

Limann was never presidential material and was exposed a few months into becoming president. He had never held any senior position anywhere. He was marketed to us as a diplomat coming in from abroad to lead the Nkrumahists. In reality he had been working in Ghana since 1975 in the ministry of Foreign Affairs as a Desk officer. This position is about 4th rank in the hierarchy of the ministry. Before that he was Head of Chancery in a Ghana Mission overseas. What the Head of Chancery does is to run the day to day affairs of the Ghana mission. Head of Chancery is therefore not a diplomatic post. You are responsible for maintenance, purchasing equipment etc. He never took part in any diplomatic negotiations anywhere yet we were sold the skewed picture of Limann as some high-flying globe-trotting top-level negotiator for Ghana

If you look at pictures of Limann with foreign visitors in the Castle when he was president his glass of whisky was always twice the volume of the foreign visitor. This was a sign of his depression as he came to realize it was one thing being elected president and another running Ghana. The man had become an alcoholic.

His main prop was his uncle ALhajio Imoru Egala. He was the true power in the Castle. When he died Limann was exposed as the novice that he was and Jerry Rawlings coup happened in slow motion if you like. He strutted around Accra to adulation. WHen Limann announced jerry was to retire from the Air Force, Rawlkings replied that he will not retire and continued to to walk about in his military uniform. Rawlings made one coup attempt on December 24th and when arrested President Liman told the security agencies to release him and the he will talk to Jerry after Christmas. He was told by national security operatives Abu Braimah, Annor Odija and others that the coup was upon us before the end of the year. On 27th December realizing Limann could not act as he was indicisve, they got their families to leave Ghana as everything pointed to a coup on the 31st 1981. On the night of the coup 4 days later Limann was at a party and was so drunk he had to be helped out by his aides. At the time the gunfire was heard and when told Limann our commander-in-chief said it was the ranks in the barracks angry with their leaders and the should be left to sort it out by themselves

The following morning he had lost his job.

The problem with the CPP is that it is trying to re-write our history.

Limann's weakness led to the presidency being hijacked by his De Graft Johnson who became so corrupt he was credited with buying 10 Peugeot Caravans and articulated vehicles while Kofi Batsa (ASTAB grouop of companies) and Bekoe were all stealing and not hiding it.

Apart from those fallouts in Limann's administrative behavior, his security men, engineered by De Graft Johnson, were going after JJ Rawlings and Kojo Tsikata, who, personally had to warn the Limann administration of the serial attempts at taking his life.

Most of us know what went wrong so no one can write a little articles full or lies to throw dust into our eyes. Limann was very weak, though a nice man himself. His problem, as JJ learnt later on, was his entourage, which was way corrupt than one would have imagined, taking for granted JJ said "the world was watching them" during the power handover.

If one is implicated in an attempt to subvert any form of government civilian or military, what happens is that the suspect and his accomplices are arrested, interrogated and detained if further evidence needs to be collected. They are released if the evidence against them is not substantive. In the case of Limann's administration, he(Limann) ignored and rubbished all the secret information his security advisors were giving him. Limann's ineptitude to act on secret information passed to him later led to the early or premature death of many innocent people and Ghana's democratic stagnation in the wilderness never experienced after independence.

After colonial powers left Nkrumah was the leader of this country and despite the resources he inherited,he squandered and mismanaged them with his reckless and none achievable plans and made this country bankrupt.
The country has never been able to recover from that mess ever since..
Worst still you're now able to spew your shallow and misleading views freely with any fears which was unheard of during the reign of your tyrant Nkrumah.
Ghana would rather have been by far better off if visionary and true believes of democratic people you so detest have taken over after independence.

If a terrorist like JB Danquah wanted to subvert the government and action was taken against him did that make Nkrumah a dictator. Even in United States of America, when a terrorist like JB Danquah, would be thrown into Guantanamo Bay detention.The charge of dictatorship was used by the opponents of Nkrumah to justify their illegal action. By all accounts Nkrumah still stands out as the best LEADER Africa has produced. Ghana is broke today because the Danquah-Busia tradition connived with their foreign collaborators to systematically loot our Treasury It is an open secret that after the 1966 coup Afrifa stole large quantities of gold bars and money and stashed them in foreign banks. Danquah-Busia tradition have raped our economy; they are only interested in amassing wealth.

Compare the conditions and infrastructure to other African countries in the era of Nkrumah like Kenya,Tanzania, Zambia,Senegal,Ivory Coast only to mention a few,and judge for yourself,who did good work for their country.
It just unbelievable and rediculous that you Nkrumah fantastics,deny that he was a dictator and also made our country bankrupt.Go on denying but facts are facts.
He lacked good foresight and never made good use of the opportunities he had to the benefit of the country when the population was less than 7 million and things and life weren't expensive as they are now.
Ghana didn't fight to gain independence from colonial masters only to be ruled by an oppressor from within like Nkrumah.

And as to your claim of Nkrumah being the best leader in Africa,I wonder how you came by that, for you compare the conditions,infrastructure and developments in Ghana to countries like Kenya,Tanzania, Zambia, Senegal, Ivory Coast only to mention a few of Nkrumah's era leaders after independence,you will find out clearly who did a better job for the olive country.

As for those who think Paa Willie broke away from the UP (Danquah-Busia) tradition, my simple question is this: Paa Willie was one of the Big Six, Victor Owusu was not. So who broke away from whom? Was it not the intransigence of Victor (who by the way started as a CPP) and others that led to the impasse and the break? Who should have been the natural heir to the D-B-Dombo tradition after Busia? I think people should spend time to go into history and also try to be a little analytic in their assessment of issues/history.

Which of his children went through it? Where did they attend school? Why did he send them abroad to study? At whose expense, as he said it himself that he ate gari and bean on credit bases.
