The incompetent AG shouldn't stop at merely stopping the contract but also, retrieved all the money paid with interest. In addition, the perpetrators must be hauled to court and dealt with severely.

I always say that DVLA is one of the most corrupt institutions in Ghana, how can you award a contract in dollars to a local company if not to defraud the country.

There can be judgement debt but I blame some people at the top who changed figures for Ghana to suffer. All such people should be put to trial. If found guilty, they should be made to pay back with interest or put in prison for long terms.

In every Contract, the Circumstances under which a Contract could be abrogated is made Clear in the Contract Documents.Well,I don't know but in my personal opinion,I think the
Attorney General should have investigated behind the Scenes,to get to the bottom of the matter and all those ilnvolved in the deal. And in order not to Commit the Country to pay unnecessary "Judgment Debt", the AG could write to Suspend payment of any amount to Foto-x in the intereme with immediate effect. And not to just Terminate the Contract without Prosecution in Court. Before then, all those involved must have been under arrest and put before Court for Causing Economic Crime against the State. And if found guilty, jailed. That's the way to fight Bribery and Corruption to deter others. So,it's the Court which will Terminate the Contract on the instructions of the other party(gov't),and Order Foto-x to refund the difference in Court to govt.
Just to Stop Payment is not enough to fight Corruptions. And Termination of Contract without Prosecution in Court is risky or prone to Judgment Debts.
Anyway.

The AG has done well, but she needs to go further and investigate and punish the people found culpable for this blatant fraud.
