Personnel of the NFS agreed to contribute Ghc20 to enable them have dinner with their boss and I see nothing wrong with it. If they had used government funds for the dinner, you people will still complain that they are using tax payer's money for private dinner.

Since they all agreed to contribute, there is nothing wrong with that. Workers elsewhere make similar contributions towards X'mas parties etc.

What is the relevance of this contribution to solving issues in the National Fire Service such meagre pay, acquisition of equipment, boosting morale of Firemen? I think organizing a dinner in honour or to appreciate the visit is totally uncalled for and should be thrown overboard. Other organizations thinking of embarking on similar trends should note and avoid 'thieving' of the workers' pay especially the juniors.

This is how deep our corrupt practises have become in ghana. And it happens both in private and public sectors. Banks are charging customers to have their bank statement printed which shd hv been the obligation of the bank. Junior nurses pays part of their first salary to senior matrons when the money finally lands in their account after about 2 years. Airport staff are constantly demanding monies from travellers all the time just like the immigration officers do b4 your passport gets stamped. Dnt we ghanaians know all these?. Let's all stop the hypocrisy. Out of the entire population of 27 mil its only children born today who are not corrupt. Speak against it and you are labelled too known. Not even a single institution in ghana will be let off the hook with regards to corruption. Ghana will soon die cos of corruption. WHEN OOO GOD????
