I side with you on a day for voting not a date. SDA will come out to say Saturdays are their day of worship and will not vote. Next year November 7 will fall on Sunday and the Christians will say it will conflict with their commandment from God. 8 years later, it will fall on Friday and we will have another round of problems of this kind from Muslims. Let's use a day like Thursday, the first Thursday of November and this will stand the test of time

Parliament should take a cue from what happened some years back when the SDA refused to vote on Saturday. Parliament should take any Day such as Thursday or the first Thursday of the month of November or 1st Wednesday of November. America which we are copying tooth and nail uses the first Tuesday of November. Tuesday is good as it is a resting day for fisherment worldwide.

It is good to change the date but we should have a specific DAY not specific date which should either be any day in the first week of November or any day in the second week of November except Sunday,Friday and Saturday.

Most people go to church on Sunday while our Muslim brothers and sisters go to the mosque on Friday and Saturday is when most funerals are held and other social activities.
