  We all know every country in Africa deals with these institutions in one way or another. However, I think the man is simply prodding us to see it for the neo-colonial establishment that it is. It begins with using the borrowed money for its intended purpose, instead of stashing it in a foreign bank. We must also have a deliberate plan to be really financially independent in the long run. A lack of financial independence makes us vulnerable in so many ways.

  This thing is like a grown up man with a family who still wants to depend on social welfare and is not ready to take charge of his own life financially.
  Giving up the IMF and World Bank will be hard initially and will require great sacrifices which unfortunately, Ghanaians are not yet ready to make but that is the only way to true independence. When you suffer to make your money, you wont sit down for anyone to squander it but as it is, because we are living on borrowed money, bobody cares how it is spent.

  The TRUTH IS WHAT THE DRC LEADER HAS ADVOCATED ; IF YOU WANT YOUR COUNTRY TO SUCCEEED NEVER GO NEAR THE IMF ?WORLD BANK because the mantra of these two organisations are to mke you think they are offering you the easy way out of your economic problems but the TRUTH is that your country under any progran under the IMF never works and therefore if all the education and lots of information on the internet about the failures of the IMF/WORLd Bank ; In cannot understand why Jon Mahama thinks he can drag Ghana out of the precarious economic problems she has ;the IMF is fulling GHANA ; now they have even proposed a Strategic Debt Management plan which tells you that the total debt of the country is in complete MESSS; JON MAHAMA WHY OH WHY !!!!!!!

  PM Matata should not compare Ghana and DRC. We love peace, love ourselves and love diversity and live together without civil war and ethnic cleansing. So Ghana population is putting pressure on the economy and so our case in Ghana is different compare to DRC which have managed their population through civil wars and ethnic cleansing. Most old and children who are dependent were eliminated during wars. We don't want that in Ghana. We will borrow and maintain our population. Period!!!

  Name Ethiopia, and every ignorant Ghanaian will tell you oh, Ethiopia is a poor country and totally have no clue that Ethiopia is building the largest dam on the nile with their own money and more of their own engineers and workers and fewer Chinese.
  Their national airline one of the best in world and the largest in Africa with multiple hubs to care for all inter nation connections. Ghana wouldn't be able to do these in any time as we believe not in ourselves but in white people even if that is killing us.

They told us to sell our airline and Ghana telecom and we did.   Inviting any of them(the Imf or the world bank) is a recipe for chaos because they will dictate the pace of your economy with tough economic measures which in the end, will force the citizens to either revolt or dislike the government in power.

  The Mahama NDC gov't saw wanton thievery as a very robust policy intervention in alleviating poverty and the results we all can see, has been a cataclysmic disaster.
  This is what you get when you have an NDC gov't led by John Mahama, that regards stratospheric thievery as a foremost major policy intervention for development.
  Kofi Adda a one-time former Minister in the Kufor administration, the administration which moved Ghana from HIPC status to a lower middle income economy said it best when he said, the only creative John Mahama NDC gov't policy has been stealing and corruption, and there you have it. Ghana is now a goner. Massively firing these looters and thieves at the ballot box in 2016, is now a heavenly duty and God help us all.
