It does not matter whether the plan is developed by the NPP or the NDC or Akua Donkor; it is plain stupid in the fast changing world for anyone to think that he can see the world 40 years from today. Given the lack of imagination of our leaders, the potential variability of such a plan can not even be managed. Political Parties should develop their 4-year plans with enough slack to roll over, if re-elected. It's not political, it's just plain nonsense and a complete waste of money to think about a 40-year plan.

Because if they do NDC in opposition will claim credit for every project or policy implemented by NPP or any other party in government. They will say: "But we (NDC) drew the plan...it's our idea..." This is the same thing we hear everyday that, this and that project was planned by Kwame Nkrumah, as is being propagated by Kwasia Pratt, which I know most are not true. How can everything be about Kwame Nkrumah? Some fools wish Ghana is named after Kwame Nkrumah. What nonsense. But the irony is that the young people of today only know that Kwame Nkrumah was Ghana's first president. That's the end! They don't know of the new "founder" status being conferred on him by his latter-day jokers trying to rewrite history because of hatred and stupidity.
Well NDC can fool themselves with a 40- year plan but the assurance is that an NPP government will never follow such a plan. Period.

I expected the NPP to view the 40 year development plan idea with contempt and to see it is a plan taken out of a communist or socialist manifesto.But look at Singapore,Malaysia ,South Korea,all these nations rapid economic progress and prosperity was the result of putting a development plan in place and sticking to it and yet these contries are not socialsits or communist countries..What is wrong with Ghana adopting the same approach to rapid economic development and prosperity if we think that is the best way forward?With the NPP allied to the Conservative and the Republican parties which champion neo-liberal economic policies and unbridled pursuit of wealth acquisition the 40 year development plan is an obstacle to their 'property owning' capitalist economic pursuits.The view expressed by Akoto Osei is not his personal view but that of the NPP.The NPP thinks that it has the best brains and plans to move the nation forward.Maybe it is true but time will tell.But Ghana is not ready for their economic policies which will create few rich people and an 'army' of poor people.

Secondly managing a nation is basically not the main duty of a single political party thus it is a real foolishness on the part of the frustrated Akoto Osei to be playibg blame game with the realities in regard to national development plan.

In a real sense there is nothing wrong with national development plan if you Akoto understands what is being a financial minister. Almost many developed nations relied on national agendas which usshered them to the levels that you see now.

Akoto's Ashanti mentality is to fight political opponents and never accept their views since an Ashanti mentality never realise nor acknowledges that unity with the opponents in the same nation brings national development. Again it is clear that the NPP with Ashanti mindset as the base of the party psychologically and logically refuses to agree with the board because of Dr Nii Moi Thompson whom they see as pro Nkrumah mindset hence the general refusal of the whole political body of the NPP.

This is political hatred, and that is the political practise of the Ashanti dominated NPP. Today in every political issue with reference to developments politicians in the NPP will refer to the SINGAPORE economy and how that nation developed but forgets that Singapore followed national development plan which even called into reality that the 30 best university graduates were posted to teach in the primary levels as part of the national development plan. In lieu of this how can this frustrated Ashanti primitive man Akoto Osei called the 40 year national development plan a hoax. Foolish man indeed.
