With these two policies to underpin the 40 year plan then efforts would be useless and baseless because there is no underpinning support to strength the reason behind the 40 year plan.

ANY PLAN BY SHORT-SIGHTED ANCIENT GHANAIANS WHO MISPENT THEIR YOUTH IMPLEMENTING IMF/WORLD BANK POLICIES, CANNOT SURVIVE THE PASSACE OF TIME. SO STOP WASTING YOUR OLD-AGE ON MEANINGLESS PLAN. THERE HAVE BEEN MORE CHANGE HOW TO DO BUSINESS, RUN ORGANISATIONS IN THE PAST FIVE YEARS THAN THE PRECEEDING 50 YEARS, SO HOW CAN YOU HOLD DOWN DEVELOPMENT BY SADDLING THE COUNTRY WITH 40-YEAR DEVELOPMENT PLAN?

40year plan? Too long. All these selfish and empty-headed leaders are confusing our people with nonsense and the gullible among us are buying the crap.

Two things must take place, however, to make is a success:
1. Each of the political parties must agree to be part of the 40-year development plan & submit policy papers detailing how they intend to use NDPC.
2. At the national political parties representatives consultations sessions should be devoted to learn about futurology.
Please take a look at my forthcoming article on futuristics.

I don't see the need for all this so call Forum going on towards the 40 year plan which in it self can be done without this regional meetings. What I am saying is that we have everything in this Country to do and start even today to implement all the project that we have plan to do. The first one is a new Capital City of Ghana which can be
sited at Kintampo which is the centre of the Country.Accra then will become the Commercial Capital of Ghana Kumasi becoming the Cultural Capital and also an industrial City with Tema and Takoradi both becoming Industrial harbours. The
Regional Capitals like Tamale Koforidua Sunyani Wa Ho and Bolegatanga can also benefit from the industrial revolution where it's beneficial to the area. We will recall recently that the Egyptian President inaugurated a new Capital City for Egypt at the cost of billions of dollars of which we have the capacity to do the same. If that projects can be put in place Accra can become like Francfurt in Germany Shangai in China New York City in the United States of America and can becoming like Dubai. We can also give our road and rail ways project to foreign companies to build our Railway lines across the length of the Country from Accra, Kumasi, Tamale , Sunyani, Wa, Koforidua, Ho, Takoradi and Bolegatanga extending them to the Districts Capitals. What I mean is, if we can start this projects today and sign the necessary contract for the next 40 years instead of wasting time and money holding meetings and events to inform the Citizens what we intend doing the next 40 years it seems is a waste of time and money. So when?. We have wasted a lot of time and Bureaucracy and that will not help us to develop. A Word to a Wise person is always Enough.

I don't see any individual, company or government making 40 year strategic plans. Whatever happened to the so-called Vision 2020.

Why 40 year's? Let set a short term goal's first ,then we set a long terms. Even 4 years we have nothing to show for.

Richard, we are talking abt participatory planning that calls for wider consultation to harmonise ideas. it is not abt abundant resources. No nation developd without a long term plan.
