Chinese are bribing chief with 4 by 4 to secure our lands please do not allow them because they will not allow any Ghanaian to secure a land in theirs. British yes but the Chinese man eveen if they give you the 4 by 4 take but always lease lands only on 25 yrs contract. Ghanaians should stand up and should not allow any Chinese person to bully them. The people are dangerous and can easily take over our country if we let them. Never ever as they will not to our lots over in China.

Madam it is not true. Look at what has happened in all our villages and small towns. Deplorable!!! Incivility, filth, fortification, teenage pregnancy, illiteracy (both English and Twi). You are just playing to the sentiments of the ignorant masses. This is the reason Ghana will never progress. All the village folks and peasants have escaped those traditional chieftaincy dominated areas to Accra, and either chocked it or slowly turning it in a village of steal and concrete. Middle of highway vending and hawking, open defecation and urination, shameless infringement on everyone's privacy.
Please Madam, what the hell do you really want? Not even our appointed Ministers, Mayors and DCE's have been capable of instilling a sense of civility and human behavior in our people, and you asking the wolves to take part in guarding the hen house? You have to be a product of this village upbringing, so you just have sympathy for the devil.

Maybe if every freaking citizen who migrates to Accra learns how to speak beautiful Ga first, then eat their food, dance their dance, I can assure you Ghana will become a better and richer country of several beautiful cultures and languages.

I very much support your ideas to help re-establish the position of chiefs in the country. We go abroad to learn but most of us are not given the chance to practice the theory we have learnt before returning to Ghana to be given responsible office positions without the requisite training. So at the end we become experimenters. The Chiefs must have a standard of good education to stand as regional ministers and head of State which would be practiced in rotation among the regions. We have the knowhow of operating Chieftaincy but we are experimenters democratic Western governance. We should let the West copy us because our culture is far too rich to look down upon. Chiefs should wake up and let the World know that they exist and have a better way of governance. Our regional development would be handled better because they are the custodians of the land. Longlive SIKAMAN the BRIGHTSTAR

Common lady what do you know about traditional ruling?. Do you know that chiefdom was created by the white man for his administrative purpose.
How many towns have you visited to have the first hand information about how they rule?. Most of them try to be judges and lawyers with no profolio. How many of these chiefs know the traditional area they govern?.
I will proudly tell you that most of these white man made institutions are bogus and it facilitates cheating and stealing by the individuals who governs as a chief. They look down on the people they rule because they had seen the four walls of a class-room.
Proper traditional rule was done by the chiefs who did not go to school. They spent their entire life in the process than these so call educated mordant. Visit some towns or villages and find out what these people do and the seemingly obvious will make you withdraw your statement.
I know some chiefs whom I call malfeasant and spooky characters who should be remove from their seats immediately for their shenanigans. They are not wanted by the people of the village. They are not seemingly far from been the undertow of people who have no knowledge on how cultural and traditional affairs take place.
Mrs, Minister, you are making a pronouncement that will bring some plural conflict with the land lords. These chiefs came and met the land lords as first comers. You are creating a gargantuan elusion for them to tightened up their hold which the white man created. It gives them false mode of masquerading in more aesthetic ways. If you Mrs minister, I hope-you put this in heroic parenthesis on the cohabitation of the land lords and chiefdom as an important issues. This white man creative chiefdom will not bring any progress to the villages some of these so educated people govern.

Mad Minister you cannot obviously be advocating for the traditional institutions to be the fulcrum around which your gov't expresses it's political authority because, left with many a Ghanaian, that traditional institution will be abolished.
When it comes to governance and as such democratic governance, it is a social, economic and political contract between the gov't in this case your gov't, the NDC led by John Dramani Mahama and the citizenry.
Any undue influence of that dynamic such as you advocate is not just plausible, but a threat to that traditional institution itself, and it would be interesting to see how the traditional institution reacts to such overtures vis-à-vis their subjects, and the maintenance of that authority, in the face of a colossal failure of the social, economic and political contract between the gov't and the citizenry, as has played out between your NDC gov't and the masses.
The results will not be farfetched from just casual observation.
