In any case democracy is destroying Ghana due to the over reach of some judges with hidden agenda. The least frivolous thing people head for the courts and the media also blow things out of proportion.

Tell the Idiot that we have enough "useless" lawyers in Ghana to last us for the next 25 years. What we desperately need are Ghanaian trained doctors,bio-chemists,radiographers,engineers, scientists etc. What do we need 1000 lawyers a year for? My parents are in their late 80s yet they have never ever needed the services of a goddamn lawyer! That cannot be said about the great service they have received from nurses and doctors. Stay in USA where "litigation" is a direct substitute for oxygen.Bugger off, man! We need toilets, hospitals, motorable roads not Ambulance chasers by the bucketload.

Do u know how many students are denied admission every year by Ghanaian institutions? All of them. Do u know how long some excellent students wait to gain admission into Ghanaian Universities to read some specific courses? Until recently, even some High Schools in Ghana were were reserved for wards of Ministers n the rich.Don't compare American elite Universities to the rot n corruption Ghana finds herself in.

Every aspect of Ghana's educational system needs to be overhauled.
Firstly, we need to change the system where a committed decides on which school a university student is placed when a candidate gains admission to any of our universities. For example who gains admission to Legon must decide if he/she takes Accounting, Medicine etc as a major and not a committee.
Expand the Law School to give admission to any students who intends to take Law as a profession.

Is she responsible for the intake at the Ghana Law school ? If not, all she can do is recommend an increase in intake. I sickens me to the stomach to see a country that prides itself in democratic governance rooted in the rule of law, not have enough lawyers available to its citizenry. The reason is elitism; which reads like this: You cannot be where I am. Only people like me can do the same. Woe betide you if you are not my kind, you can forget being a lawyer.

Ghanaian Proffesional schools directly under Government are from time to time discriminates against qualified applicants who want to enter into these schools to persue courses they dearly love to undertake.A typical example was the school of Administration in Legon where they gave admission only to the children or relatives of past students and by so doing disappointed many intelligent citezens of the country who could have become ditinguish accountants to serve the country with distingtion, but thanks to many private Universities which were opened in the country, some of these fraustrated applicants who came from wealthy families were able to pay for the exorbitant school fees by the private universities and made it successfully there. Some of them with their fraustration, also forced themselves into the Law school when the law school was less important becouse of the manner Rawlence treated Lawyers at that time.. and came out successfully with first class honours. As a matter of conscience, this kind of treatment by certain educational intitutions like what the school of law is doing must be condemned by the right thinking Ghanaians for them to stop the educational discriminations playing against fellow Ghanaians.

Sometimes my heart ache when i see institutions and individuals in Ghana working tiredlessly to suppress free flow of information in this 21st century: omg! And these same people will turn around to complain about scarcity of experteeism in a specific faculty, as if it takes angels from heaven to train that professionsls. It funny how they argue that the strict admission scrutiny is meant to check the milling of quacks into the system, but the true fact of the matter is that they end up creating a breeding ground for corruption; because after all their graduate cant match their US, UK, SA, Nigeria countetpsrts where admission is quite transparent and flexible. In fact it a shame and primitive to suppress information in this era.

Professional quackery is determined in the field of practice and not in the classroom. What is learnt in school is nothing like the real world, I must remind you. Have you ever heard of the late bloomers in professional and academic circles ? If not, read about the likes on Steve Jobs, Buckminster Fuller, Albert Einstein, Craig Venter and more. The world would have never benefited form their ingenious insight, were they born in Ghana. We have inflexible standards that leave no room for late bloomers, and encourages corrupt approaches in admissions to courses leading to one's chosen field of endeavor.
Europeans and Americans believe that your true value can only be ascertained in the field. The competitive nature of any given field, naturally eliminates the weak ones. Unfortunately, it is a critical process that our academic institutions try too hard to handle rather poorly.

This is what they do in Ghana, it is just to punish the people who want to be lawyers or want to see thir future better. Those in control of the law schools are just wicked and purely evil driven people who want to bring sadness on the faces of such students.
And yes, so will Ghana continue to languish in disgrace because there is no love that needs to drive the minds of the people in such positions. With this evil mindedness at work how can the nation move forward. Why should this be happening in our nation which is full of churches with pastors preaching the loving mind of Jesus?
Ghana is cursed because the people only know how to undermine themselves, and never think of what others will feel when they are cheated and damaged with disappointments. When will Ghanaians understand what is development in a nation? All that they understand is foolish politics which lacks morality.

What about admissios to medical school? It is a joke as children from rural and farming back grouds are not given places in medical schools. Yes this is the domain of children of top civil servants and not for the rest of the candidatesj no matter how good they are. These Doctors after qualifying do not want to work in rural hospitals. Most district hospitals are left to nurses to act as Doctors to dispense and treat patients. Guess what they give to patients for all sorts of ailments-'Brufen' as the folks will call it.We need to operate on regional quotas, for entry to professional courses. We live in a competitive world and if we have to move our country forward, our young people need to be given every opportunity to persue science courses and not what some one tells them to do. This will never bring out the best in them. Therefore as the Law Professor has noticed with admissions to Law School we should also tell Ghana medical school to give a chance to all who want to read medicine as well. We need Doctors more than we need lawyers.Rural folks are suffering unnecessary and we should stop treating them as second or third class citizens.

He was also a member of the Matemewho/PP/NPP Cabal who facilitated many of the present NPP-leaning lawyers (who didn't pass the entrance examination and also failed the final exams) becoming lawyers by collecting bribes. Asare absconded to the US when the law was catching up on him. Is it any wonder that most NPP-leaning legal practitioners who passed through the School during the period are bad at Law but have found comfort in politics for obvious reasons. Asare, shut up.
