Kofi, just like your slave 'masters' and colonial 'masters', whose ways you seem to so adore and cherish, you yourself do not have any principles.

I do not know how the "richest nation on earth" arrives at what to compensate members of their World Cup teams - or for that matter their other sports teams with, neither do I know the considerations that go into making their final decisions. Looking at how dumb your comment is, I doubt if you yourself do.

An undertaking - whether good or bad, was made to pay the girls a certain amount of money, based on certain conditions of performance which they were to honor.

Now in spite of certain challenging sacrifices including putting aside their education and important social aspects of their private lives as women, which they individually and personally had to make to reach those agreed conditions, our girls effectively and in fact did reach and satisfy the conditions of the bargain.

Then when it comes to the time for the other party (govt) to honor their side of the bargain, they bring up all sorts of silly untenable excuses which once again, in less than 2 years, has given cause to the world media to castigate and lower the prestige and image of Ghana globally. Our "Better Ghana" govt has once again proudly and without any remorse, projected Ghana and Ghanaians into the much ridiculed category and image of a typical stupid, inept, buffoonish, corrupt govt and people.

And all that a person like you Kofi can think about is how much Americans pay their female footballers and therefore, that awkward ill-though-out analysis constitutes a good reason why we should reward our female footballers with much less. This is what they call gobbledygook.

Any education that can belittle the substance of a man to make him think that he or she is inferior to other men - or that, he does not deserve as much merit as other men, is as good as no education at all.

Considering that our largely economically deprived female footballers compete with privileged female footballers from highly advanced and advantaged countries like the US where the minimum salary is around $100 per day and manage to frequently beat them at football, is in itself, enough reason to justify why they merit even more than the amount due them by govt.

Now whether you like it or not, the pride and the prestige gained by the marvelous and outstanding performance of our girls in the recent African Championships, will be enjoyed by all Ghanaians.

No price is too big to be paid for such an accomplishment which in spite of the demoralizing conditions in which we as Ghanaians find ourselves, has significantly raised our morale and pride as Ghanaians.

Im sure that a person like you will probably admit that you prefer the capitalist system of govt which we are practicing today. If that is the case, then someday when you wake up from your slumber, that will be the day that you may hopefully realize that "money-worshiping" is what the game of capitalism is all about.

Talk is cheap. You should check your facts. The money starts from about 3 years ago, the qualification matches and all that. Nothing has been paid. So its not just this gold bonus. It's a lot of games.

Is really shameful with the current situation of the Black Queens. Before they qualified for the games, there was earnings for every game, and out of which bonuses were calculated to be paid out to the team. Secondly there is specific amount paid to every participating team, and the further you go the more you earn, and specifis amount paid to the champion of the tournament. The GFA is aware of all that was at stake before the tournament even kick off, upon which they calculate and promise the bonuses to be paid out. This is not money from the state chest, but money that they have rather earned for the country, and why have they not been paid till date? Is an honour as people say, but at a price. They worked to earn money for the state, and their payment for the work that earned the money must be paid to them. Corruption has eaten out in every institution in Ghana. Nyantakyi and his bunch of thieves use the hard earned foreing cash to apply for projects within the country. Ghanaians must wake up. They can fool the people, but can not fool them all the time. The partisan politics must stop. Use your brains folks.

Each participating team is paid a certain amount and with that money from the tournament, there is no reason why the players should not be paid. So far it appears the bone of contention is the amount of money due the players.
