Regarding the "STARS" praise for Anas, I would want to tell them to use their positions to make positive contribution to society instead of promoting Violence, superstition and immorality. Today people settle their differences with guns instead of fist fights as it used to be, there are guns every where. You are turning Ghana into New york, that would be your legacy. If you want to copy from Americans, there are some positive things: Patriotism, Bravery, perseverance, hard work, kindness etc are some of the things that have made them great.

Also remember that these conditions of service that the judges find themselves in is not limited only to them; hence no justification for taking bribes. Justice and peace of the nation depends on them. So if you don't like your job, leave it but don't abuse it to your own disgrace.

To solve these problems elect a better party, apart from the NDC, which has the interest of the nation at heart to steer the affairs of the nation.

On the other hand, living in a single and chamber while upholding self -respect, decency, devoid of greed to me, will bring a decent person peace and set that person free from his or her conscience. Life is too short, to be caught in a short-sightedness-greed-syndrome. Play by the book while you negotiate for better conditions if it is reasonable negotiation(not sure if gov't will give in.) Greed has more to do than poor conditions of service. Make the best of the little you have before you lose that little bit and be left with nothing.

they didnt take the bribes because they wanted to renovate the courts with it, did they? corruption is corruption. stop making excuses.

John,a magistrate who has just been appointed, (i mean was called to the bar in October last year) will receive more than GHC4000, a car, accommodatio, security man and domestic help. So when the tax payer is able to squeeze all these out of stones for you, you dont go and take bribes. in any case, you saw the conditions and took the job. stop shifting blame or everyone will have an excuse for committing crimes. Even the armed robbers have one.

It is a toyota corolla as against a toyota landcruiser and a saloon car for a minister. Have u seen the houses that some of these judges live in? worse than u can imagine.And it is not every judge that retire on their salary.U need to work in the public service for a specific number of years and u also need to reach the high court and also work as such for a numnumber of years b4 u qualify to retire on salary. Judges dont recieve Ghc 10,000.Even the Chief Justice doesn't take close to that amount.It looks as if among the three arms of government, the judiciary is the least motivated. And no one speaks for them so peoplpeople sit their asses somewhere and insult and vilify them::i did not write all these to justify the bribe those judges took,but to correct a notion that ill informed Ghanaians like u hold.

There are corruption in almost every establisment in the country. The public and private sectors are all corrupt by taking bribes and being lazy. The whole tax system is fucked up. The executives and the judicial system are corrupt. They think of themselves and blame the government when there is no money in the state coffers. Almost everyone in Ghana is corrupt in their own special way. Even some are so stupid to the extent that they give their last pesewa to fake and fraudulent pastors. Where in the bible did Jesus perform miracle or prayed for someone for a fee? Some are so naive they expect miracles without working hard for them. Anas exposed the judicial system however, this is not new to me. Remember our school days and even now. Headmasters and head mistressess accepting bribes to admit students with bad grades, likewise someone not fit for a job being employed. What do you expect? I will conclude by saying our ways is what is destroying the country and the economy. I don't support no political party because their intentions are the same as the word "CORRUPTION, SELFISHNESS AND INJUSTICE".

I totally agree with the comments made by the stars. We must all remember that we are all sinners. Every sin is a sin and can be forgiven if we go before the Lord and ask for forgiveness. The only sin that cannot be forgiven is the one against the Holy Spirit. I believe that some of them have already regretted for what they have done.
We are not to make too much noise about this issue. We should all learn from it. If our sins were to be posted, or aired like that of these judges, none of us would get up; rather our head would be buried in shame.
This is an eye opener for all of us to change our attitude and live a corrupt free lives.

Let's honour Anas while he is with us rather than waiting until he's gone! What Anas has accomplished is unheard of in Africa. And this is not the first time. He did at Customs and Excise and other Health Posts. He has risked his life for mother Ghana and deserves a great reward. Anas is a national hero in our time. He has also opened the doors for others to investigative journalists to pass through. Now the whole world is watching. His exposé also help set Ghana apart from other countries, when it comes to finding ways to fight corruption. There are negative aspects too, as foreign investors could lose interest doing business in Ghana. But we must do all we can to help boost the morale of the judiciary and tell them all is not lost. Gove them better conditions of service and they will bounce back doing the right thing. May God bless our homeland Ghana.
