The EC must know that without a new voters register there will be a Political tension in Ghana. Already the Police horse whipped and used rubber bullets on demonstratore. Police bullet hit a demonstrator in the eye and he blind in the said eye.
The EC must not be corrupt and must do what the majority of Ghanaians wants which is to give us a new voters register.

Maame Abena, it is not just an issue of a new register being demanded by a particular party. It is about all stake holders coming together to see how best as a country, the voters register can be cleaned if indeed there are issues with it. Those of you clam outing for a new register , what is the guarantee that the problems that we claim is associated with this one would not reoccur with a new register? That is the question we must all be answering and stop all these things we are doing . Allow the EC to get the stake holders to agree on the way forward. Long live Ghana ! Long live all peace loving Ghanaians !!

All the political parties including the ruling NDC party have said the register is not a credible document. The EC itself says the register has major, major issues and so the claim that the register is a bloated document is not a figment of anybody's imagination. It is a fact.
To say the problems that makes the current register a discredited piece of document will find it's way back into the new register should a new one be compiled, questions our collective intelligence as a people with the capacity to fix and solve problems, and most a Ghanaian would shudder to accept that kind of striking generalization, because the reality is that, those identified problems can easily be fixed having identified them as a problem in the first place unless we have shelved the functional process of exercising our brain muscle.
Consider a situation where the current bloated and discredited register is used for the next elections and the NPP wins which they are going to win anyway, will the NDC party which has already lost the elections, accept the results when they have also questioned the credibility of the current register? Will the NPP and the other political parties also accept the results in the very unlikely event the NDC wins the elections? Think about it, let it marinate for a few seconds and let it sink in.
The stage has already been set for an election stalemate and disagreement with the results based off of the bloated and compromised register which everybody including the NDC party, all the political parties, all Ghanaians and the EC agrees.
Keeping the current bloated register as the base document for the 2016 elections is a huge non-starter and this is not the time to be pandering to elements bent on retaining such a register in the face of all the evidence to the contrary.
Addressing the issues, confronting it head-on, and getting on with the compilation of a new register should save everybody time, headache and heartache because lets be real, the only place the results from the 2016 elections will be accepted using the current bloated register will be on the planet Jupiter when we all get there.
The hoax of any previous problems finding their way into a new credible register is unfounded, and it is important the seeming inertia and stalling of the process is addressed forthwith to allow for time and space to fine tune the document for the 2016 elections and subsequent ones thereafter.

We need a new and clean voters register devoid of Togolese and Burkinabes names. Ghana can not afford whereby because of a particular party's incompetency and stealing from the state coffers use the power mandated to them to bring in foreigners to vote to keep them in power. Ghanaians are the best people to decide who should govern them but not Togolese. I agree with Maame Abena 100% for a new voters register without the names of those who used NHIS card which the Supreme court has ruled unconstitutional. The electoral commission must pay heed to the warnings of Ghanaians to avoid any distabilisation of the country, since if anything happens ndc will be the losers as government in power. The blame will be put right at their door steps by the international community which will definitely lead some of them to the ICC, the opposition are not in charge so they have nothing to lose and the international community trust them as civilised who will never use brute force against their people, compare their time in power to ndc brute force in power.

You are an idiot, who will lose the most? Probably your people why? Because of the bad economic hardship in your areas your people have deserted their homes back in their regions to find better lives else where so if any war they will be affected the most. You idiot ! From Accra to the East and Central is just a walk journey and those of you calling for war in Accra thinking you are safe will get the best of that war. What am I saying? I'm telling you that your hate and the call for war against akans will affect you more than the akans because our towns and villages are around Accra which will be easier for us to go and get organised but what about you? I don't know where you come from but take a reflection of the geographical stance of our country and see who are safe before you talk shit. Brong Ahafo is now considered the most dangerous region in Ghana and they are akans so remember you are not going to find it easy so don't sit in Accra and talk rubbish like Accra is the whole of Ghana. Touch one there and you will lose in thousands in our regions. There is tention in the country so you need to talk sense, never think you can undo the akans. You are not much brave men and women than the akans. Bring it on and we are ready to supply whatever it is to defeat our enemies in Ghana. We need to get Ghana back from the hands of foreigners.

In North America, Australia, Europe, Japan and China, the basic definition for NATIONAL SECURITY is "the capacity of citizens to enjoy peace and tranquility in their homes and on the streets of their country at all times - day and night." When this is threatened or lacking, these countries do not send in only the Police to maintain order, they deploy the Armed Forces. It's like another country's troops or mercenaries are crossing your borders to attack your country. The role of the Armed Forces is to protect the country when it is invaded. That was why when major flooding invades American, Canadian, Australian and Chinese or Japanese cities, they deploy the Armed Forces. We saw it in the USA with Hurricane Katrina, we saw it in Canada when major floods invaded Manitoba in 2009. What is Ghana waiting for to deploy the Armed Forces to take care of the armed robbery menace in their country? It is already driving and scaring off investors and tourists. It is a big job and the Police cannot do it alone! We have watched the Police try and try and try. It's time for the Armed Forces to get involved. Use the Army for a year or two, and sit back and watch the economy of Canada boom! As a diplomat in this country, I read daily about armed robbery menace in this country while the military sit there unconcerned. Please, and for goodness sake, do something Ghana Armed Forces.

In Ghana we have many people who hold many Ph.D and many Masters but they still do the same work in Goverment offices, depending on Government assets completely for their survival but there is no innovation or invention. They are even paid the highest salary as they still indulge in corruption, then tell the novices to start everything from scratch. If we don't do "build on" how will the nation manage to grow?
My little suggestion is that government should tasked those people with big qualifications to propose new theories and projects and the government should turn out to provide financial resources for their projects and if they don't then their certificates should be retrieved from them for it amounts to big name without result. The government should also sponsor anyone with research and innovative ideas and the nation will move forward.
Look at what happen in Germany in time of Max Weber. When the nation was going into doom day the government tasked the highly educated people to bring innovation and invention for the development of the country or be taken out of life. That message trigered the said Weber to develop theories of managment we use today. Mary Paker Foilet and Henry fayol, all who were high scholars brought theories. Isaac Newton's theories are still in use today. However in Ghana, I only have experience of Ph.D holders fighting for jobs that WASSCE people are also fighting for. I never hear any Ghanaian scholar's theory except Mills, the king of peace in Ghana. When I was young I never head my father telling me to kill a snake as he hides on bed.
Ghana, please let's wake up for a new day and stop refusing the truth while the light is still brighting. We can be like Germany. We can be like great Britain but for our M.Sc and Ph.D in corruption we are still at grade 1.
