    I am not an expert but my common sense tells me that these plants should be sited near the raw material ie the gas that way this USD250,000 could have been saved or half of it for something else

    No wonder you are not an expert. Because if you put the plants at where the gas is you then have to evacuate the power back to where it is demanded through high voltage transmission lines or much expensive SCADA systems passi ...

    Bross, the west african gas pipeline ends in Takoradi alright, and if you red the story well, you'd realise that plans are afoot to connect the ghana gas pipeline to it to enable reverse flow of gas to Tema. But the point is ...

    Thermal plants should sited near the source of the gas. Why?
