  It is a fact that export is the key but certainly not export of raw materials. We must add value. I just shopped at Schipol Airport and bought €48 worth of chocolate. Why? Netherlands does not produce cocoa. They buy aw cocoa from Ghana and make magic of it. You get variety and lovely stuff. We pride ourselves that Ghana's chocolate is the best quality. Can't we just vary ours? Even the Gh one I loved most was the one with peanut even that one, you can hardly get. The 2nd point is we could have foreigners come and produce to export from Ghana but where will the profits go? Certainly monies will be repatriated back to their countries. Empower real local industries and stop laying red carpet for foreigners.
